I'm a bit more optimistic. I guess I can afford to be since I made my safety net moves before all of this happened/happening.

However, in 2 years, Congress is going to get a HUGE reshuffle, and the repealing will begin in earnest. This still isn't Venezuela yet...we can turn it back and we the people will.

It's never been this bad I'll admit (in the direction taken, not economically), but the liberals always end up imploding. Their policies while making great soundbites to fool the uninformed, are horrible policies, and when acted upon, people start to wake up to the ridiculousness of their equations.

Just to make it a fight we would need somekind of magnetic pulse devices.
Must be easily manufactured and small enough to hide in basements.

Trade bonds are needed, since we Deserted the dollar and credit system.

Able to defend is tacitly more important regarding open warfare.

I hope that you are wrong, but I can recall one example to support your claim. Remember last year when US Rep. John Murtha (D-PA) called his constituents in his own district "Racist Rednecks" and they voted him back into office.

If people will recall, in the 60's the Socialits/Comunist party claimed that they would take this country without firing a shot. And through the ignorance of the people and the "Useful Idiots" that they employ, I'll be damned of they aren't well on their way.

Does this also go for companies that have been financially raped by their corporate heads?

I really don't see much point in saving GM. Yes I know it's a lot of jobs, but if they're cranking out cars that nobody can buy / wants to buy......what is the point of that?

Let AIG sink too, there are lots of insurance companies to choose from. I mean really, if they can't keep shit running from day to day, is anyone really going to get paid if there is some kind of disaster and they have a bunch of claims all at once? I think they'll file bankruptcy and flee the country.

Yes sir, I've been stocking up on canned food and bullets for a while now. Anyone who has any foresight at all will do the same. The only ones that the government will protect are themselves.

That's no lie. It's going to be everyone for theirself, and make sure you hide your canned goods well. Eventually the government is going to do a "we didn't plan ahead" stored food round up and you don't want them stealing your stash.

I just about this house last year, and it has the most wonderful basement/cellar under it. Perfect for such an underground bunker! I love old houses!

the cash burn the big three are going through is like a black hole.where all money goes never to return again.
