How do you explain that if a woman has monozygotic twins (identical) and one turns out to be gay, the other has a higher probability to also be gay than a pair of dizygotic (fraternal) twins? Doesn't that suggest a genetic component within homosexuality?
According to the study UB provided, environment plays the biggest role.

There is no "gay" gene. Period.

k.. forget that then.

Buck asked a question near page 3 I was also wondering.

What does it matter if being gay is a choice or not? What in the process of making the choice makes it wrong?

I wish it was as easy as making a choice. I would be a extremely happy as a straight man. It's Hell being a gay Mormon.

Why is it the people always making the claim "it's a choice" have apparently never had to make it themselves?

The parallels with race seem obvious..

Then it gets down to "well, so what if it is a choice? What's it matter?". This is where the crickets come in...

Who is anyone to judge the choices another person makes with their own body and another consenting adult when they're not harming anybody?

Jack, I hope if you live in America you pick up a pocket Constitution and turn to page 1.

PS. The claim "it's a choice" indicates that to the person making the claim, it actually is a choice, meaning, they could choose to become homosexual if they wanted to. To me, a straight person who realizes sexual orientation isn't much of a choice at all (as I couldn't choose to become gay, no matter how hard I tried, I could sit down and watch all the gay porn I wanted, hang out with dudes 24/7, watch nothing but NFL and NBA on tv and I still would not turn gay), this would seem someone making the claim is at the least bi-sexual.

You just showed your ignorance by bringing race into the issue. Over 70% of Black people and over 50% of Latinos in California voted against gay marriage. Now explain that one to us.

It's only a personal opinion whether it is wrong or not. I don't give a damn about sexual behavior. If someone wants to be a pervert that's their business and I could not care less. Just don't tell my kids that it's "normal" and don't you dare call me names and insult my intelligence because I happen to disagree with you.

As far as marriage, there has never been any such thing as gay marriage. Marriage has always been defined as between a man and a woman. The definition of marriage is what is right or wrong. The people who support the homosexual agenda want to change the definition.
Gay marriage in native tribes was quite common in AMERICA. Long before the Anglos came and polluted them with their prejudices.

Easy. Christian taboos. The only opposition to gay marriage is religious intolerance. Not the first time religious ideology has corrupted the rule of law.

If you think the aggression from the gay community is because they simply disagree with you, you're sadly mistaken. You understand people have actually been murdered simply because they were gay? I mean, you get that right? Just look at how you approached this reply, "pervert", I've seen you address homosexuals as "faggots" on other threads, clearly you do care, so why not just admit it and explain why?

Can I tell you why I don't think you will? Because I think you know deep down your reasons are indefensible, there is no logical justification for thinking and feeling the way you do. Something that you don't understand makes you uncomfortable so you feel you have to silence it using any available means, including hate and prejudice.

When did you make the choice to become straight?

What would be inherently wrong about choosing to be homosexual?

If you can have it, so should they be able to. This is America, that's the laws of the land. This change is inevitable, the more you stand in opposition of it the harder you will hit the ground and the louder you will scream when gay marriage is finally federally recognized. Get on the wagon or go under it, makes no difference to the rest of us.

Right over your head Mr. Fate...

To clarify, homosexuality is not a choice, just like race is not a choice.

When did you choose to be straight?

If you wanted to, could you choose to be gay and be sexually attracted to men? No? Why not? Why do you think other people somehow could?

Don't bother using homosexuals as victims here. They can be as nasty or nastier than any straight person.

Gay marriage is not about civil rights or equality. It is about "definition". No one objects to gays having sex, living together, civil unions, whatever. Marriage is a unique relationship between a man and a woman.

I agree, they're people too after all you know

No, marriage is a legal contract between two people and the state. Can you legally get married without a marriage license?
