Are you checking all other plants also? And I see you mentioned over Fed, I think your okay on the feeding maybe just the genetics of the seed, it happens, you have so many more beautiful girls in there !
Yes, I’m actually on plant # 4 now of 9 I haven’t been able to find anymore as of yet.
Does that mean possibly the other 3 Apple Chems will do the same ? Those are the ones I’m checking now .
So very disappointed:(

Hard to say I would check in to other grow journals and reviews of the seeds , I know some strains are more likely to herm then others, but I’ve never made my own strain or anything so I’m not sure how it works, could be the one whack seed or could be a hermie batch of seeds, it happens though, one of my plants hermed out also already I was bummed out, but I still have some more so I’ll be okay, regular seeds are a gamble on the newer strains , that why a lot of my strains are older strains for now, or clones . I plan on keeping a couple strains around for as long as I can, and then some strains that I find harder to keep up or that herm easy or just the genetics arnt worth keeping will be flowered out and left behind lol , but I would keep looking forsure, just to make sure and keep a eye maybe every other day!

There are no reviews yet. Cannarado gave this line out as freebies, just had to pay for shipping. I’m not so sure I’ll be using anymore regular seeds if this is not a risk with fems. I’m afraid to bring in clones because of bugs.
I’m almost ready to scrap this grow because I’m concerned it’s all seedy with small buds that lack potency.

Do not scrap the grow!!! If anything keep a eye out I don’t think that one will pollinate the whole room! Maybe one plant maaaayyybe two, but not the whole room, and yeah I was too but I did some digging around and I check when I go into the club for mites and only buy Rockwool clones, it’s worked out so far, I take my magnifying glass with me and check all the leaves of the clone, and look on the stems for mildew and nothing, but I go to the “high end “ clubs for clones, they are cleaner all around, I’m sure it’s possible with fem seeds too, Ill be looking into that also, we’ll maybe they were a bad batch, you get what you pay for kind of thing ? I have hella seed stock of regular and feminized seeds. If you have more room somewhere else throw up another tent and let it go the run and then go pheno hunt threw those seeds? That’s pretty much what I’m doing with my seeds

The problem with “new” strains - unstable genetics.

I’d wait on scrapping it, in a few weeks you should know how much that guy got around, i doubt he visited that many pistils before you caught him.

Definitely watch his ?sisters?

My dad always says that “ you get what you pay for “ I paid for shipping. I’ll keep an eye out and try to get through this. It’s hard because the excitement is gone and all that remains is disgust after finding those boy parts. I’m trying to hang in there but it’s rough after such a major disappointment.

That’s what I’m afraid of , the other 3 doing the same thing. I’m watching them closely in a couple of days I’ll make a decision as to continue on. Thank you guys for everything, you’ve been amazing:)

+1 totally agree

Especially risky with "freebies", obviously there is more potential to go wrong with those as they are usually not tested....

Its a heartbreak because so much time/luv is invested...Its so much worth it to pay a little extra for some very good seeds with a long stable history....makes sense.....look how much we spend on lights/equipment..when really genteics is prolly the most important aspect.

Nonetheless, we are still learning you n me lola, i think just enjoying the pleasure of growing, enjoying that they are yours, and learning, is most important. You are succefully growing beautifull cannabis and things like these are out of your hands!

Although, if it was me, i'd get rid of it, you have plenty other beauties growing perfectly, why risk the chance of that one possibly spoilling all...

I’ve cried my tears over it already, valuable lesson learned about “freebies “ thought Cannarado strains were stable. The next step for me is researching stable strains because the heartbreak is devastating. I’m doing that now, hopefully I won't have to go through this ( pain) anymore.

Don’t let the bad boys get you down, they aren’t as good as they let on...you’ll see

So sorry to hear this Lola, 100% not your fault.
Will the others herm? Maybe. I'd definitely keep them around and trim of any nanners that show up.
Sadly, because you have been so meticulous with your grow and your plant health is so good, i think we can safely say that any seeds produced will carry the herm tendency and should be destroyed.
A note on fem vs reg.
Reg seed produced from unstable genetics will be unstable.
Fem seed produced by induced hermaphroditism and stable genetics will be stable.
Phenotypes can carry hermy traits or not, from the same seed production.
Some strains are known for it, cherrygasm for instance, I've heard will herm if you look at it the wrong way. GSC is known to be touchy.
My herm experience was induced by spider mites and then taking them to long unto flower as I had about -2.5% of a clue as to what I was doing at the time. Gorilla Cookies went first, then the thunderbolt, then the Gorilla Glue. This was interesting to me as the lore behind GG4 is that it was created from an accidentally hermed grow, yet the cut in my possession proved to be more resistant to herming than the intentionally bred strains I had with it. So really, untill you put them through that kind of stress, it's very hard to determine how stable any given strain will be aside from the feedback you can get from people who've grown it.

Have you sat inside your tent after lights out to check for leaks? I doubt that is the problem considering how on top of your grow space you've been.
Chin up, you're still going to need that big scale.

Thank you because I’ve been blaming myself for it somehow. I’ve decided to proceed and check each plant daily, I’ve been doing some reading and it seems Chem has a 25% chance of Hermies.
Which means I have to keep a close eye on the remaining 3 Apple Chems. Lol at looking at them wrong and they’ll herm!!

I’ve sat in my tent 10 min lights out and used a magic marker & super glue for the few pinholes. I won’t be running anymore freebies or new releases. Cannarado just dropped a new line featuring Frozen Margy, looked interesting but after this .. I’m spooked.

Does trimming them do any good ? I was under the impression they’d just keep growing all over the plant at a fast rate. I also read they can develop within hours and release their evil powder.

I think that's strain and stress level dependant. When mine turned, they were VERY beat up, really in bad shape, and the one that went first threw the most the one that went last hardly threw any.

Aside from the over feeding mine seemed to be in pretty good shape. I guess it would have turned on me no matter what .
