They look great! Dont worry about one or two leaves doing weird stuff...some strains have a natural claw, its how the water naturally runs off the leaf. I a week or so you won't have to worry about nitrogen anymore...I have had some pretty shocking looking plants turn out some serious buds so yours will be great! Remember less is more and %90 of your success will be the environment you provide. Nutrients are just to help keep the energy.

When I water, I use about 1/4 strength of what the manufacturer says(advanced nutrients), I used full strength and burnt shit out of them. I hand water coco coir with perlite(70/30 mix) and I always water with out 20% run off...I always use cal/mag and silica. Ph for veg 5.8, ph for flower 58 to start then I move it up weekly by about .1 so in the last two weeks I am at 6.0 to 6.1, this way the plant intakes phosphorus a lot more and my buds are rocks! Oh Also last two weeks keep your temps in the early 20's and down to 16 even at night(centigrade that is)

Thank you. I’ll take the responsibility for the clawing because I should have only been giving them 1/2 like I’d done previously. Haha @ less is more, same thing I posted right after my blunder. I was taught that in the beginning, idk why I decided to try it . Oh well lol

FFOF / LIME
SOLO CUP : Day 1-10
Day 1-5 15-25 ml of water daily
Day 5-10 water ( until some comes from bottom) (dry out before transfer)
Day 11 Move to 1 gallon ( water )
Day 11-17 ( water as needed) ( when pot feel light)
Day 18 Move to final 3 gallon pots (water as needed)
Day 18-35 ( water as needed)
Day 36 Flip 12/12cycle
Day 40 1/4 recommendation nutrients
Water as needed until Day 50 ( 2 weeks into 12/12cycle)
Day 51 1/4 rec nutrients
Water as needed to day 61 ( 25 days into flower)
———————————————————/
Day 26 of 12/12flower 1/4 nutrients
Day 36 of 12/12—-1/2 nutrients
Day 46 of 12/12——1/2 nutrients
Day 56 of 12/12—1/2 nutrients
Water as needed no more nutrients
Harvest time 65/80 days most strains
* lime only worked for me 3 weeks each pot up
* pay attention to cal-mag after nutrients are stopped
* ph run off
Humidity & Air circulation are major factors in overall plant health.

I keep detailed notes as to not make the same mistakes. I didn’t stick to my original plan. I made a few changes to the original so the next run goes even smoother.
I knew I shouldn’t have fed that much in the first place. No more wandering from the schedule I make for myself.

Thanks you kindly Sir, I’m kind of bummed about over feeding and those “ unattractive clawing leaves “ all I can do is take my lumps and move on. I’m excited and nervous because this is the most plants I’ve attempted to take on,

I can’t wait for that part, I’m waiting to post my girls in the Quantum Grow Thread, once they start showing off lol.
You’ll be pulling those leaves at some point.

Focus on the part about having recognized the issue and adjusted, that’s what really matters.

They look great!

1/2 is good, I use half on my indicas and 3/4 on my Sativas and then dialed in from there because I’m running so many strains, I pretty much got it down, some still get a little nutrient burn but almost nothing, I keep everything logged in a journal , I also stripped some of my Plants as a test to see what would happen, and I mean I stripped them , I have more of the same seeds so if it fucks up it’ll get tossed, I’m about 2 months away from harvest so I had some time to mess with my veg plants , everything is looking better and better! Really blown away by how healthy and vigorously the plants are growing!

Keeping notes really helps me and I also take notes from other growers. I was doing ok with 1/2 idk why I increased the amount . From now on I’ll never feed full strength because that N can mess things up. I’m expecting to see a bunch of beautiful winter stashes posted around Christmas time lol.
When you defoliated heavily do you think the girls liked it better than having a lot of leaves?

My 2c on defol. Based off little bits here and there and my own results.
During veg, not so helpful. The growth hormones are in the leaf tips so unless training the plant requires removing material or the plant is getting huge and needs cleaned up for ventilation, you're likely just slowing it down.
During flower, week 2 (I just do it after bud sites show, I don't generally count days.) The plants growth focus has shifted from leaves/stems to flowers. It will still grow them, but a more aggressive removal doesn't tend to phase the plant at this point. At this time I remove all fan leaves big enough to have an elongated stem.
a lot of people do follow ons and if you have a big plant count I can see why scheduling it would be good but I just clean them up as needed after the first defol. Take shade leaves and open it up for air if needed.
Now, if you don't have a dense canopy, say just one plant under a spread out light (our leds) there may not be as much of a benefit. The plant is likely already getting light penetration from the sides. If you have a full, dense canopy with larger plants, defoliating allows more bud sites to fully develop.
Lastly, I also like to cut the leaves off closer to the leaf, allowing as much stem as possible to remain. My thoughts here are to keep wounds far away from the main stems as I can.

I’m scared to take off so many leaves. Oh my goodness, I’m a baby grower still can’t do the grown up stuff like this yet. Looking forwards to your outcome.

tbt, I'm not that far ahead of you. I've had issues, read, learned, think I'm going in the right direction and have been having better results. I hope to do as well as you've been doing so we can see if what I've been learning works. I am sold on defol. 3 harvests defoliating and each has been better. The first time I did it I didn't understand why lol. On my current grow I am just stressing the relocation/soil disruption, and the new lights I am building.

I pulled 7 leaves from each plant this evening, I guess I’ll have to do more because they still look bushy ( except tall one) It’s hard because it’s conflicting opinions on removing leaves. It seems to work out for everyone who tries but I may end up not so lucky not knowing what I’m doing. Catch 22

Watered the ladies
Ph in the 6.5 range
Temps 81/82
Rh 43

Removed 7 leaves from each plant if there’s no bad reaction I’ll do more.
