I have plants I could throw them on that just flipped a couple weeks ago, but i'm gonna keep them on the White Widow and Alaskan Purple at 3ft for their last couple weeks
From what I've been reading, it's most beneficial used from the very beginning of flower at least, but even more so, during the few weeks of veg before flip, even.

Hmmmm, well I am rearranging the lights tonight a bit. I guess I could see how the 4 240W boards do with the UV. Would have to be almost at the top of my tent though, plants almost 5 ft now, we’ll a little on the edges anyway

Those are boards only, no driver no heat sink no wiring
I'm looking to build something that is overkill in a 5x5 I've seen quite a few builds on here that looked great but the links were really outdated as they were 2yrs old. I figured some of that older tech still holds it's weight so I figured I'd take a gamble from digital and magnetic ballast hps lamps and try these out...I'd like a mixed spectrum of diodes for balancing and preventing some hotspots. Any advice? Or point the old dog to the right direction would ya

Cobs are probably what you read up on. While they're still great, you can achieve a much more even spread of your light using Strips or Boards.

They were boards for sure. He has 6 288 lm301h with 4drivers....think his name was chuckduck or something his thread was quite a bit aged but the material was a great start to ask some the same questions but 2 years later hahaha.

Fotops rock but they are very big and some times hard to use inside a tent. The way ii run them is between 150w (no heatsink, will grow around 44x16" each if kept tight together) to 240w (1/8th " alubacking, does approx a 2x4). It does not have a 5' long footprint though and is best used at low hanging height and low(150w) power.

With long alu platess you can build something simiilar with boards. But pita in a tent without access thru all sides, you need 4 point hanging and raising.

what do u guys recommend for a 3.5x3.5ft (1x1m) upgrade from Blurple Bestvas ? they re too hot :| . I think the best option is chinese qbs??
