Does anyone know if LEDs and other products are being shipped from China right now? I'm waiting on boards right now and there seems to be a never ending delay.

I just had some lever nuts ship out after waiting probably 3 weeks.

Well well well that was a very very smart approach to fixing a problem. Not only does it help the weak spot, but cools the whole board giving YOU more lumens per watt!!!

I think Meijiu and a couple other companies do it as well with their heat sinks. It’s most likely one factory milling all the heat sinks for multiple companies. Definitely creates a bit of a hotspot on the board when run hard, but hey! Gotta engineer in some planned obsolescence some how.

My Meijiu heatsink has the hole. All it's for is looks, and a place to print their logo. It does not go all the way through the heatsink, they just cnc'd off the fins.

That’s good to know. At least there some thermal protection behind that spot on the board.

Looking to get 2 of these, can someone explain the difference between these 3 versions? So confused. I just want whichever one is most efficient where I get my most bang for my buck on the main samsung diodes, and don't care about the 660/UV stuff. Looking at the 3K for my bloom room, I will be running a CMH or HPS in between them depending on my heating needs.

ok so this one has the epistar 660nm + UV and IF
It is rated at 175L/watt, makes sense since the UV and IF diodes. Not worth spending extra to get less white light. Im already going with 3K spectrum, and like I said may have HPS running in this room part of the time, and even the CMH is 3100K.

This one has just epistar, but why are there only 250 of the samsung diodes! that's half as many. I think they just counted the diodes for the single board instead of the total per shipment of 2 boards. They should stick to one format for easy comparison

ok so this one uses the older LM301b diodes instead of the new LM301H , which is the newer version, but efficiency at this spectrum is apparently not that different? looking at the ppfd map map this one puts out a little less in some areas. I think for an extra $10 thats worth it.

lmao could you imagine a 288 with 72 660s.. would kill the efficiency.
Was something of my thought process when I got these dumb 304 boards. I like them, but they didnt leave me many options for setup and drivers without 220v.

Ya, that 100V+ on each board really limits you. It sucks.

DiY LEDs - How to Power Them

Havent seen much mention of the XLG drivers yet, but noticed the HLG 240 kit says it uses XLG driver but also says to wire the boards in series still and that driver has a 56v max and 4.9a CC. It does look like a nice cheaper solution to run two boards, but they have to be wired in parallel...
