Well you make master growers feel like little bitches right? Show us what you got big guy!

Master growers don't grow with Chinese bullshit, sorry. I'm sure they all had a good time laughing at your expense together while you thought you made a fool out of them.

The meijiu seller I dealt with was named kitty. I bothered her with questions and changed my order multiple times over several days before I ordered. She was very patient and was able to answer every question i had about the boards. She even gave me a 5% discount off my total order and sent me 3 grinders as a gift with my order.

Customer service from a Chinese vendor? I thought that was impossible...

This is the RQS Royal Gorrilla that was directly under the FOTOP Boards.
No foxtail on this one, probably due to the better spread between the diodes on the FOTOP Boards compared to the Growgreen.
Nice bud structure on this one. Definitely needs support.

I got a price on a Alibaba clone with 480 watts and 4 QB style boards.
https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/Big-discount-quantum-board-288-304_60710523223.html?spm=a2700.7724838.2017115.1.e820143c8YpJjZ

I have bought an HLG 600 V2 which is new. I have only been running it about 7 to 8 days and it is excellent.

I priced one of these 480 watt chinese clones. At $319 it seem a killer deal to at least test. It is about $148 for shipping and a $14.50 or so processing fee so I am at $530.54. The board will not match the 600 watt HLG in power and output. So I would need a supplemental light.

Is there a cheaper way as the shipping makes it not worth it.

Why have they wired a plug to the dimmer...

Why have they wired a plug to the dimmer...
They are digital dimmers and need a constant power source to keep at the setting you set. If you unplug the dimmer while the drivers are still plugged in, the lights turn on full power.
Those dimmers are actually really neat, they come with little remotes that have 25/50/75/100% presets, step by step dimming, and even a timer. I have one on each side of my tent. Each one runs to 2 drivers with 4 boards on each driver.

This is what I paid for my stuff.
16x 304 plus board in 3500k+660nm $25.98/piece
16x Heat sink in Black 326*195*10mm $9.96/piece
2x Digital dimmer $12.26/piece
4x HLG-320H-C2800B $76.61/piece
~$150 for the frames, wiring, and connectors

I wanted to get HLG-480H-C3500B drivers.. but they were out of stock until the end of this month so I had to settle.

Now that's a nice price for what you have got, have you got it all hooked up and some plants growing under them?.

im not sure what you mean by that but..
The B version drivers have wires that come out of them for you to hook up to a dimmer. A lot of people just wire a potentiometer to it and that just gives you a dial to turn up and down. This is the same concept, it just has a little circuit board in there to store the setting instead of it just being a dial. If you have the dial on a digital dimmer set and you unplug the dimmer, usually you'll have to turn the dial to off and turn it back on for your lights to come back on when you plug it back in.
I thought the little remote that came with them was stupid at first, but ive really grown to like it.

Its kinda like this one, but slightly different.

All hooked up and working. They were actually the first thing that got here. There was about a week lead time before everything shipped, but once it shipped it got here in less than a week. Wasnt expecting that lol!
This picture is from a week ago, about to start my first grow under them. At some point today I need to get off my ass and finish cleaning and sanitizing everything.
Im hoping to get seeds in tomorrow, but thatll depend on what I get done today.
I plan to do something different with the hangers, adjusting all those ropes is no fun. They will do for now though until I figure something better out.

I am not sure. The freight from china seems very high. A friend suggested going to Wish.com. It is some shopping site. Anyone ever use it?
My order cost $202.54 to ship to the US. It can be on the high end if you arent buying a lot of stuff like I did.
Duty fees were $16 I had to pay to the carrier before they delivered. Had everything in about a week because they send it all express. (part of the reason the high shipping cost)

Stay far away from wish for anything you want to be quality. Its nice for little cheap shit, but id never buy lights from there. THAT is the china everyone is afraid of getting. No quality control at all.
