The Chinese Quantum Board Knock Off Builds

Tell him don't worry about your driver and that if he wants your business, you need strips in either 24/36/42/48V somewhere in there. Just say you're not comfortable working with TWO HUNDRED DC VOLTS and that he should know that it's not safe and that you don't want to be limited to CONSTABT CURRENT drivers only. That's why his Max Current is 800mA. Do you know how crazy that is? Quantum boards can handle nearly 3000mA because their Voltage is 54V. 54x3000mA(3amps)=162watts..
200x800mA(0.8amps) is 160-180ishwatts

I’m going to drop the hammer on one of these:

I’ve got a couple of their Majos and they work excellent. These are a little longer and wider for even better cover of even PPFD across the canopy.

They look pretty good! What do you guys think?

Shippings a bitch as they’re 47” long instead of the standard 42” which fits into a cheaper shipping option category.

Most of the baba lights hit this 42” length only.

I'd get the HortiBloom MegaPlus instead but they're very similar

ALLLLSSOOOOOO, tooooooo much fuckin blue with those damn 5000k diodes, so it looks like you can choose your cct. So if you can order without ANY 5000K LM301B diodes, I'd suggest doing so .

Yeah I was going to get 3500k Lm301b with 660 Osram.

I like the Meijiu. 2500 led’s And they fill a 4x4 tighter. That extra 5” length and 4” with covers the canopy better, if only slightly.

Do you know the diode count per bar on that hortibloom?

Hi all

Wow what a thread and so much good info.

I have a 2x4x6 / 60cmx120cmx180 tent, currently got 2 spider farmer sf1000s hanging in there but would like to get 1 new long light with a dimmer.

Most people seem to rate strips highly these days so was thinking one of them to fill the 2x4 space..
Looking on alibaba gets confusing so if anyone can give some advice and help i'd be grateful :D

Looking at kingbrite and Meijiu and these ones seem to fit my needs.. maybe..

and

The meijiu would be overkill i'd imagine but i much prefer the look of it, looks better build, looks like the new chilled led growcraft. I'm wondering would they supply it to me with 3 bars instead of 4 with necessary driver and stuff, It say's foldable but that 4 bar onr doesn't seem to be which is fine as I don't need or want it to fold.

The kingbrites seem to have many listing at varying prices.. i'm not quite sure I can see much difference between them all.. some are lm301h and other lm301b.. what is the best leds to go for for seed to flower grows? and temp of 3000k or 3500k is best?

I take it these are fairly safe units and won't burn my house down as they use meanwell drivers etc.

Also if you think standard QB or the new QB 648 would be better options for me i'm easy to go with whats best.

I nearly ordered a growcraft chilled led x330 a few weeks back but just couldn't bring myself to at that price and then add import duty/vat :-|

So any advice and help would be much appreciated, what would you get if you had that space, i'm not trying to do it as cheap as possible either, I don't mind paying the extra for better kit.

I'm based in the UK :bigjoint:

Thanks all :peace:

You can also check out @diyled (not sure if the tag is working, but gis on the forum and have happy clients) and his web diyleduk.com they got growstrips or led-tech.de who have nice offerings; for smaller orders it seems like china shipping is a bit higher than usual at these times.

I did mate and I'm super close to buying one (well I actually did buy one earlier today but got a refund so I could do a bit more research)
i was going to go with the 275xl scope v2 kit until i seen it had 2 light stips (heat sinks) , i read it wrong and thought it had 4 strips (heat sinks) so worried about good coverage with just a strip at each edge and not one in the middle, May still go with it just need a bit extra research :)
