For a year or more I have been saying as soon as I hit 220 pounds I was going to get serious. So. . . . . . . .

It's green beans and stir-fry before every meal until I'm back in the.

Some of the early weights are without, but for the most part, this is with underwear.

3/22 221.3

4/4 219.8

4/11 218.6

4/18 219.4

4/25 218.4

Seeing the first side effects. I broke out a pair of shorts (34" waist) that I haven't worn in a while. And my old double loop canvas belt got to a part that was too wore out to work any more. I switched over to an old, relatively narrow leather belt with a few extra holes punched in it. I'll have to put them on a scale to see how much of a weight penalty it is.

It's actually pretty good. I've been adding soy beans and pumpkin seeds to my pre-meal stir-fry and green beans, and am liking it.
You're gonna live till your 118 yrs old,......sorry about that. You must of been weaned on healthy food. I couldn't get your cereal , lima bean, etc dish pass my nose. Howbout biscuits slathered in sausage gravy , with some greasy home fries and eggs over easy ! What's your main source of protein....beans....fish ?

Just a quick bit of math tells me I am likely to live to 83. (add my parents' age and divide by two) That's 22 years away. I have lots of pain in my feet so losing weight will help with that. I spent several years at 173 pounds, and the nearly fifty pounds make a huge difference. I spend lots of money trying to reduce my pack weight by a pound or two, so this seems like an easier (and cheaper) way to get to less sore feet.

I eat whatever the wife has fixed for the meal. I just eat lots of veggies before so I don't eat as much.

I was raised on a cow farm and ate so much beef in my childhood I don't really care for it anymore. I do live for porkchops though. In fact there are not many pig parts I don't like.

Hope ya know I'm just having fun. I'm sure your choice of food is bountiful. You do shit-tons of veggies however. I really don't enjoy eating very often .....kinda manic , in a constructive way , I think it's a boring activity unless you are REALLY hungry. And then there is the clean up afterwards....pots , pans etc.......fing yuk , I'd rather have a bologna sandwich on a paper towel.....fast and easy.
