Back in the 90's I went on a vacation from the midwest and drove up to alaska, where i grew up. (Iwas still pretty young then) Along the way we kept running into this group of hippies that seemed to be at all the rest stops we had hit and after talking to them we had learned that they were following the dead and they were coming from Maryland. Anyway I managed to get the courage to go up to one of them and we got talking and incidently he knew anchorage pretty well and talked highly of a coffee shop called the Java Joint (ill get back to that in a minute). So I offered him what little money I had if he could hook me up with some weed. I went in thier bus and it reaked of the most sourest sweet smell that was a bit offensive at first because I didnt recognize it. I figured out it was the pot after smoking it and he hooked me up with a free nug. During this perio I had been living in North Dakota and no one knew what "nugs" were. But aside from that, this was the most aromatic smells Ive ever smelled from marijuana. A very rich sour skunk smell when smoked and after a day in a glass jar that little nug smelled so strong and stinky. And the high kept me stoned for hours just after a few puffs. I havnt smoked that much weed in my life, but I'll always remember the smell and taste of that stuff.
And that coffee shop that that hippy talked about was less than a block away from the condo I stayed at and they had an upstairs library smoking lounge that you could smoke marijuana at. never personally saw it I only went up there once. Lots of people with acid would be there too.
But if any of you recognize what strain this could have been, let me know.

I don't know how you find it, but I feel your pain.

Best stuff I ever smoked, including my trips to Amsterdam, was from a local dealer who called it "Superman."

Well, good luck finding seeds for a strain called "superman." Appears to me to be a name either the grower or the dealer made up. It was light green in color, and a very harsh smoke.

But was the only true one hit wonder I've ever had. You went into outer space...it was damn near like being on mushrooms. I would wonder if it was laced, it was so strong.

Dealer has never had any since. I liked the somkes in Amsterdam better, as they were smooth, and the highs were more controllable. But I sure would love some of that "superman" someday....
