i have heard nothing but good about fox farm soils. need to add some perlite to it, but otherwise you would be good to go. it is organic..
if you can't get fox farm, or any other really "good" soil, just stay away from the crap with time released nutrients.. they can really complicate things..

Fox farms is great from personal experience. Nothing but quality results. Added bonus about there already being enough food for about 30 days.

I mix the 1 bag fox farm ocean forest with 1 bag fox farm happy frog and a bunch of perlite and have a lot of success. I also just heard of a brand called kellogg that you can pick up at lowes that has a soil similar to the ocean forest for about 1/2 the price. its called kellogg patio plus, I have not tried it yet but might try it out next time I buy soil.

Pro mix organic. Vvery happy with it so far, all natural, good amount of pearlite mixed in. Ph stays a constant 6.5-6.8 with regular tap water and fox farm nutes.

I hate to jump on the band wagon but that Fox Farm Ocean (I have used it) is pretty good stuff, look on line and i think you will see one person that said they got a bad bag and that's it...JR

Technically it's not soil but I really like neutral peat-based mediums like Sunshine mix 8 or promix.

I use Fox Farm Ocean Forest and have had great results, absolutely no issues. I put my clones right in it and veg, no nute burn.

FFOF - at the nursery $ 14.59

Kellogg Patio Plus - $ 4.99

Before you start using the Patio Plus, go get a bag. Even though the ingredients are similar, they are different. The main difference is how "Hot" the soil is and the size of the bark (filler) they use. The Fox Farm is a much more uniform soil.

I would probably add more perlite to the mix. :leaf:

I use Kellogg Patio Plus for all of my other plants, but have not found a good reason to switch from Fox Farm Ocean Forest.

Just my $ 0.02 :joint::peace:

FFOF and Happy Frog are all I will use. Good stuff. Sorry not a pro but I wanted to share my experience with these soils.
