Well, my first thread wasn't very good I guess. So here goes...

I germinated 4 seeds a few days ago and put each one in a cup open whiskey plastic sample bottle. I am doing these in a pc which has been converted into a secret little grow op in my room. So far, everything is going well. Although I think I may have messed one up after I accidentally dropped it and the thing split everywhere.

Caution:
Pics will probably load slowly because I used high resolution on my camera :)
My Setup!

Seedling 1

Seedling 2

Seedling 3

I just have a few questions :D:

1. Does anyone have an idea on how to secure that light to the side a lot better? That tape was holding the light horizontal, but the weight of it for 2 days seems to make it useless. I'm pretty high right now, and I just cant think of anything good >.>

2. How high should that light be from them?

3. This is the one I tipped over. After putting it back in the top, it seems to have split in half, is the sprout still ok? should I bury this whole part under soil?

4. Does anyone have any general tips on improving this setup in a cost effective way? (AKA I'm broke?)

Id love to hear anything :)

Hey Wookie, I just started my first grow a few days ago as well. These look good though, about as far along as mine are. Almost built my grow box out of a computer tower but decided against it, I'm anxious to see how this works out.

I haven't fed it anything except water... :( Any Toronto people have some spare nutes for my babies? My buddy was gonna lend me like 5ml to mix, buttt he needed it :(. The light bulb is a 23W CFL 2500k i think.

Isn't giving it nutes before a week old useless? well, not useless, but not recommended?... Anyone else think the light isn't close enough?
