the bagseed dilemna

obviously this entire discussion has to be prefaced with the realization that it's all bagseed.

so anyhow, if you checkout my grow journal in my sig you'll see one tall 3' mama in my flowering room. The plans are to move her over to some warm FLs when I have some clones ready to go under the HPS.

But I didn't have this plan 2 months ago when I kept planting more and more bagseed seeds. So I thought I'd introduce you to my plants and see if anyone had any opinions.

This is my first plant to ever survive. But it grew so slow that the second generation surpassed it, bred clones and eventually became the mama referenced earlier:

The second generation had a runt and B1 was it:

I did some earlier cloning of the B series produced 3 older clones. This was a part of the sexing on the plant. At that time I also pulled 3 clones. They are b2c1, b2c2 and b2c3:

Later on, upon advice from friends here, I cloned 12 clones and topped the big mama again referenced at the beginning. Of the 12 clones, 7 survived and are still under the humidity dome. They're now ready to be repotted:

Finally, there is an entirely different strain that I've dubbed the H series(because I did really poor seed selection for strains C-G). Here are 3 monthish old seedlings from that strain:

I know this is a long post, so I'll try to post a summary here.

The A and B strains are the same weed. I just started them separate weeks. I shouldn't have named them differently. They are from what locals call Dank or Chronic as their end product is highly oddiferous even before it's smoked.

The H strain is from a completely different dealer and provides a nice high. But it was less of a body high. That could be due to how the bud was harvested... I don't know.

Finally, I do have 10 seeds of Malawi Gold and California Orange that I ordered 2 years ago stashed. This is all a learning experiment. The question is, what do I do with all these plants?

a) you tell me
b) I move the big mama over to the FLs and put b2c2-10 under the HPS even though they are at a different height. The 6 young ones should stretch and the 3 older ones will produce nicely. No idea what to do with A2, B1 or the H series.
c) Same as b but I reserve one healthy clone to be the new mama.
d) Same as b but slaughter everything but one mother clone. start some seeds from the really good seeds.
e) Move big mama to the FLs. Put B1-3 under the HPS because they're not as nute burned at B4-10.

Etc. There are a ton of options and I'm begging for advice. I hate to waste plants but I also hate to keep putting nutes into plants that I'll never harvest.

you've seen Badder Santa right? "Are you f#$%ing with me?" my head is spinning. no it really is. i'll try my best.

Here we go:
i to had some bagseed. grew them out. what i'm saying is i could take your post change a few numbers and letters and repost it under my name. i don't know what to do. i already have the same problem. so 2 night ago i went and started seeds for FIVE more strains i've been wanting to try out. what am i doing?   marijuana is not addictive, growing is.

i can tell you i donated meds of a top quality to a local club. it was purple kush. he paid top dollar but said he already had purple kush so he was going to call it lavender. whatever. then thar's the guys that want purple so they add food coloring to there water the last week of flower. they actually get a higher demand for the colored yet it's all the same. the name thing has got to a point where i am ready to classify everything into 4 caterigories. I-indica, S- sativa, I/S-indica/sativa indica dominant and S/I- sativa/indica sativa dominant.

your plants look great. i feel with proper growing, feeding and harvest timing one could grow high quality meds from any bag seed.

so to answer your question about what to do. build another room!

yeah, some of the clones are a bit nute burned...but I immediately backed off. so they don't look so bad, especially once -=4:20=-Guy hooked me up with the advice to lower my lights

I think I know the answer to this question. But I was hoping to hear another say the same thing first.

He's right, growing is addictive, when i got to the point i had to many plants in my veg box, i assassinated a few of them.

i say keep you're strongest.

do you think if I go with option b)

I move the big mama over to the FLs and put b2c2-10 under the HPS even though they are at a different height. The 6 young ones should stretch and the 3 older ones will produce nicely.

That the difference in heights won't be too significant?

al my ladies are different. but they are in the same container s i cant do much about it.. you can, use things to prop your shorter plants to the height of the biggest plant. then you will eliminate that problem. if your mama is flowering, i would not take her from the hps.

when i get over crowed i take a few cuttings then just flower the mother. clones take up minimal room and you can just keep doing this . as far as heights. i use wood blocks that can be stacked to the height needed. just get a 2x6 or 2x8 board cut off a bunch of squares and stack and unstack as needed. i only do this in veg once they go inot flower they pretty much get what they get. with my set-up i get intense lighting all the way to the floor and all my plants are under 20" so they don't really stretch during flowering. hope this helps.

OK, I moved the two big plants over to the flowering room. I'll watch them and destroy them if they sprout nuts. Then I moved the new clones out from under the dome and put them in hydroton.

Thanks everyone for the advice. I'll keep you posted.
