The Auto-Flowering SCAM!! is this true or false??

First is my NYCD auto and then its my only iranain that I flowered inside,I put 7 outside and flowered one in my main room and kept one to take clones off of.Shes just been out of 24 hour light for maybe a week or so.She started flower about 3 days after she had her lights shortened...peace

which is better G13, or Iranian Indica?

well I don't wana be nasty, but come on isn't the whole name autoflower sounds lacy to you, its like for people that want to make it easier, but at the end its the same, I think that this strains are sold for one simple reason, so new growers don't really learn to be good growers. in any case I see it more like a conspiracy I wonder if monsanto created this strains.

there is only 3 plants here white widow from clones, and only 150 w hps and a cfl 65 w and it took me like what 5 grows to get to this.

Not to be mean but there is a great thread, Auto Flower Resource Guide on RIU that has alot of info in it. Yes there are some diesels out there. People dont want to grow autos because they dont produce as much bud and mostly because they dont know shit about autos and just want to run their mouth. I think depending on your needs autos are great.

And how are autos easier? Because you dont have to flip them to 12/12?

im not here for drama, so all b.s aside (really, no pun intended) i hit you up on your other thread to talk about this.

Hmm I will just reply to everyone one at once who asked or replied to my comment. The first couple pics of the finished bud is Diesel Ryder, The 2 that are flowering are Big Devil and Fast Bud from Sweet Seeds, and the one that just began to show sex, the one that doesnt have bud on it, is Flower Power from Barneys. As to average yield I cant say, this is my first outdoor attempt with them, and the diesels were mine and a friends first indoor attempt with them. But we fed them just like everything else, fox farm grow big, big bloom, and tiger bloom. We started out light on the nutes and increased to full strength. The plants took it with no burn. They were in with regular plants on a 12/12 schedule so they could have yielded way more than they did considering they were not getting 56 hours of light a week that they should have been getting (if they were on 20/4). And they were in a closet that had 3 90w ufos, the closet was more long than it was wide, so the lights had to be spread out so basically 5 female and 1 male diesel ryder were under a single ufo for most of there life. We still have one going, its under a 600watt hps, and has filled out very nicely, but is still under 12/12.That plants buds are at least twice the size of the others. So the wattage of light, and the rest of the environment has a lot to do with how autos perform. Just like anything else. They can be the lazy mans plant, but the lazy man will not get what I got off from my diesels, potency wise. They are not a replacement for regular plants, at least not for me. I just like them for outdoor purposes, because the farmers have been harvesting around here earlier than usual. I still prefer to go with regular plants indoors. Now if you have a veg room, there is no reason why you couldnt have a few autos in there, something to check out, and smoke before everything else. And still have your flower room full of big girls that are regular plants.

There are all kinds of people, including those kinds that just criticize everything and everyone. Then you also have people who just like feeling "better" than everyone else. These wonderful people are typically very pigheaded, and think that the only way to grow, is the way they grow. Anyone using any techniques/equipment other than what they would choose to use, is obviously stupid and deserves to have their post flamed. These egos can't stand the fact that someone else might have a better idea about doing something than their "old timer" ways, so they feel the need to debunk any new ideas that come around to threaten their tested, tried, and true methods.

Some guys, if you mention LED lighting will pipe up and say "ah, that's bullshit! Nothing beats my 1000 watt HID!" Of course, if guys like this were in charge, the progress on LED technology would come to a screeching halt tomorrow! After all, why would someone want to lower the amount of power required and heat generated? That's just stupid!

Same with autoflowers. Some guys just wanna scream "mine are bigger, so those are stupid"! As if that's the end-all be-all of pot growing. Some guys just can't accept that there may actually be a demand for a plant that flowers without light adjustment and is of small stature. You can plant 50 of these things in an open field within 10 ft of open road, and no-one will notice them. Of course, why would anyone want to do this, when they can get the same yield off 5 plants in their basement? And certainly everyone is cool with having five giant plants in the basement!

Autoflowering plants are NOT a scam. To say so would be like saying Labradoodles are a scam. They are not. They are a cross between a labrador and a poodle. Of course, if any of these critics have a labrador, I'm sure they can tell you ten reasons really quick as to why a labrador is a better breed than a labradoodle!

And don't worry about becoming a master grower. Pot is one of the easiest plants on the planet to cultivate. Anyone who tells you that you need encyclopedic knowledge in order to grow is just trying to feel good about themselves or make themselves seem smarter. A complete moron could grow just about any strain of pot. It's not rocket science, and does not require any real intellect to get into. You put the seed in the fuckin dirt. You water the fuckin thing. The fuckin thing grows. When it's done, you smoke the fuckin thing. No degree in botany required. If you wanna learn more advanced techniques, to increase yield or potency, the knowledge is there to draw from, and add to. But it's certainly no pre-requisite to getting great bud out of soil and water. All he needs are a couple of seeds.

I have been hearing more and more of growers switching autos to 12/12 the last couple weeks before harvest. Is this what you do as well? Thanks for the info and I agree on your last part, same thing I am doing!

this has been a pretty good thread as far as learning about auto flowering strains. I actually just was reading threads that dumb guy was posting in cause i love that shit. Kinda like walking around walmart, following around the white trash arguing families, good times.
Coincidentally thought, I just bought a bunch of blue mystic autoflower seeds(fem) from nirvana. I wanted to have plants going outdoor that would hopefully not be found. Nirvana says they dont smell strong, and are not the typical pot green color. So I want to grow them to where they are root bound in keg cups under t5 lights, and scatter them when im fishing or whatever.

So, does that seem like a good use and good plan for autos? Seems to me that i will have a better chance of harvesting each plant this way, and it seems like it opens up a lot of areas to plant outdoors. Every time i go look for good places to plant, i see a good spot, i find a reason why it wont work for a full sized plant....but i could hide a little blue plant in alot of those places, and pick places closer to water etc. And i bought some wolf piss to keep the aminals away, I didnt do a lot of research but it makes sense to me. And also, i am sure this way winter wont take them out before they are 100% cause winter comes early here in pittsburgh

I've been growing auto strains for a year now. And I must say....I've had no problems at all. I'm coming out with at least 2 ozs. every 30-35 days. And the results are amazing! My fav so far is Easy Ryder, followed by Afghan Kush Ryder. If this worked, the first picture you'll see is my Easy Ryder, (AKA: Road Runner), and the other is a White Dwarf. A perpetual grow!
