The Art Of Defoliation

Nature has all sorts of bugs and animals that defoliate its plants. It's quite natural from my point of view.
Exactly. Plants are given more leaves than are actually needed. Saying that leaves should be left alone because that's the way a plant grows naturally is like saying that that non-organic nutrients, artificial lighting, fans, supplemental CO2, screens for scrogging, and all forms of training should be avoided as well because those elements are not found in nature.

That’s impressive training I’m really digging it. Plant bounce back quick as they should. What week was your defoliation? Guessing first pic 2 or 3 from the flip, shot in the dark.

I’m not in flower yet from seed about 45 days or so in an I am also seeing no defoliate then to defoliate? I’ve topped the plants and they are growing should I trellis them? And I am limited on space as I figured some would be males I ran more than I needed for this size tent which is a 4x4 should I defoliate? And if so how much I figured they will sex soon? These are pics recently had a few problems w nutrients long story but next to that?
i Assume I’m a few weeks from flower?

I would do some defoliation for better airflow, but not extreme like some people do. I also like to do it little by little, but you can do it all at once too. Those don't look they need much, but maybe a little.

hi defoliation is mostly done to remove fanleaves which block light from budsites or sugarleaves, after the flowering stretch is a good time for it.

So I have this going on this is a pic a few days ago the previous were today I’m going to trellis soon as well so no defoliate now light isn’t getting down I don’t think but I’m new to tent and it’s reflective etc.... is why I’m asking . They’re amazing plants growing like hell gyeds that’s genetics?... I just want to do what’s best seeing as I topped them should I not worry about what’s beneath the top now? That seems to be growing most which is what brought up defoliation at this point @Kassiopeija

That pic doesn't look like it needs any defoliation.

how much light do you throw at them? the internodial length is too much for indoors, IMO...
to trellis soon
are you planning to SCROG? then lollipopping would be the method to remove leaves...

@Kassiopeija thanks that was the only plant I could grab most of the other intermodal length is less on the others which is why I assume this will be a male idk reall anyhow from every one I amazed by the feedback it’s really cool to have someone listen when I have a problem I do plan to Scott honestly gonna throw the trellis down today any tips notes elect been doing research etc and for Indica hybrid I’ve seen a constant 12”above the pot? I do want to lollipop and them run a scrog at this point I don’t think if I wanted to do something else I could lol I have my light on about 30 percent but is has been lower I’ve been going up by the week any suggestions
