well. i just got one question. if you start 12 from seed. when do preflowers show? im talking bout just the one little female hair. thats it. how long from sprout. some people dont germ right from what ive been reading about it taking 12 days to pop a seed. so how long from it sprouts till a hair shows? i got some genetics coming and i was thinking i could thro one seed into my already 12 12 room.

On indica strains I usually see em about the 3rd or 4th week but sativa about 5-6 but it all depends on the strain.

my plants in this photo were just wet seeds on the first of nov. saw preflowers on 3 of the 6 and switched the light to 1212 on dec 12. the point is i didnt switch the light to 1212 till i saw fully formed female hairs. they were on a 16/8 with a sunmaster mh. cool timing. its now been 22 days since i switched to 1212. they would be 4-5 feet tall if normally grown. for just 2 extra weeks of regular 18/6. what about using a veg cycle for the lights until 4 weeks old? you already know when that strain is under 1212 from seed that the earliest it will show flowers is Xamount of weeks. then make use of that predetermined veg period of the plants life? it could mean the difference between 1 oz and 3oz. just my thoughts. didnt read the entire thread(itsprettylong) but i am going to experiment with 2 skunk seeds pretty soon. gonna throw em in the room i got flowering right now. see how long till harvest they take for this skunk i got.

The beauty of 12/12 from seed is being able to constantly harvest with only 1 area to work with. Plants will still veg at 12/12 but only as long as they have to.

ah. i see the beauty. musta been a little stoned,.... i only got one room also and its a bummer not being able to start new seeds in the same room. but then again maybe one well planned grow and harvest is all i can keep up with. when you hold a job and grow and have a life its hard to do a perpetual harvest. big ups to ya 1212 growers for that.

heres the start of my 12/12. 2 seeds are from nirvana's indoor mix, 2 are from seedsman's skunk mix. so i germ in papertowel. just threw it on a wet one in a ziploc bag. when it grew a taproot i placed it in the hole on the rock wool. the flouro light setup is in my flower room right now(journal grow). thats where all 4 will go as soon as they sprout. 4x4 rockwool cubes from start to finish with just a hand watering.

Here is a Seedsman Skunk #1 12/12 85 days from seed. This may be my last 12/12 til after the summer. I have a veg tent now so I have more room to work with.

I will get a scaled pic when the lights come on. The main cola is about as fat as a can maybe fatter. I just fed her for the last time and will start the flushing. She is a little burnt because I used a little too much Gravity, she didn't like that much. Other than that she took a few full doses of nutes with no burn and she was still yellowing. She likes to eat. Lights aren't on for an hour and a half.

awesome. i plan to bring some life back to this thread. got 4 plants started in 12/12. 2 skunk and 2 nirvana variety. your plant looks great. how long from the time it germed? till harvest of course.

Or just "as said before" take a cutting (main branch)of your male and stick it in a glass with water. It will still open it's balls and you scrape up the pollen. then use a brush to pollinate one of your lower female branches (or the whole plant if you wish) et voila seeds. and no contamination. regards

Heres some shots of some skunk hybrids and nirvanas indoor seed mix


12/12 from seed under 2 4foot flouro's gh flora series nutrients, hand watered
bout 4 weeks old, the four topped skunk is female, just showed flowers last night, these pics are a couple days old

Looks good, hopefully this isnt completly dead, but after reading half the thread i ditched my dwc for soil, i was only a week into growin.. Was doing sum autos to have a harvest while waiting, but hell theyll be done same time.. So im moving the autos outside, have several more germn. Def wanna do the perpetual harvest... If i dont yield much off each it wont matter if im harvesting a couple every other week.. As expensive a good is, and no better than most of it is, 10-20 bucks for a fem seed thatll produce at least a qtr, ill be happy with more than oz a month at minimum....
