how do you increase thc levels? do hours of light have anything to do with it

Excellent question... and I belive that at present the only thing believed capable of increasing poteny levels is breeding.

Although much study by various potheads around the world is still underway.

ive heard how you cure the bud after veg. growth determines potency. some ppl get anxious and limit veg. growth, im not an expert, but that's what ive read.

I beg to differ... genetics determines potency, there may be ways to help the plant realise it's peak potency levels, but there is certainly no way (atm) of making a plant more potent without breeding it with a more potent plant.

12/12 is your best light schedule for flower... although most strains are capable of flowering with just 11 hours dark, some even with just 9 (some none at all)... it is considered by most growers safer to use the 12/12 schedule.

lmao, of course it's strain. what kinda of answer is that. he was asking how he can increase levels w. the same bud. i dont think a noobie is going to become a geneticist and cross strains. of course white widow will be danker than mecc from mexico. he's asking what u can do w. the same plant to increase potency. obv. if you change lighting, or if you increase/decrease the flowering stage, cure incorrectly, all of these will affect the potency. i dont think he asked how to get some crappy strain to become government grade G13.

"i beg the differ" lol, good one.

try molasses i hear it increases the 'dankness' of the buds, I am using it and a cheap-ass c02 setup ( it can't hurt so why not?)

'grandmas Molasses' is a baking product used in cookies and cakes. I got it at my local food supermarket for about $3 a jar. I use a tablespoon per gallon of water every third watering

it makes for sweeter buds and stickier ones too. I'm not sure if it actually increases the thc content, but it sure as hell tastes better, less harsh. I can clearly see the difference between my grow and my friends, I use it, he does not. My buds are thicker with thc then his and all from the same baggie seeds. I'm guessing it's the molasses. but in theory, if the buds are 'stickier' that means they have more THC on them, right?

anywhere basicaly, but organic molasses is supose to be better because it has higher levels of minerals which is why you use it instead of plain sugar. You know magnesium and such. I havent read anything saying it makes the bud more powerful, just a better taste.
