THC Bomb Mothers in Flower.

Looking great bro! I am dying for them to fatten up now in my mom's closet. I like the scrog but all the bud are almost exactly the same size. So, I already know I wont have monster buds, I just want a bunch of 5-7 gram buds. Need some thickness. Mine are noticeable getting taller and slightly fatter now.

To Dude, and anyone else who's growing/grown THC Bomb, what sort of stink have you guys found with this strain? I've just flipped the light cycle 2 days ago, wondering what to expect

It is very piney with an almost citrus hint to it. Excites the nostrils. Not at all like cheese or a diesel strain. I use molasses all the way through the grow at 2 tblspns. per gallon of water. I think that has a lot to do with the sweet taste and smell I get most of the time. Your experience may be different. I highly recommend molasses as a natural source of sugars needed, especially in flower. It has never affected my PH levels and I have noticed my buds are denser and much sweeter to the taste. First tried it on a Bubblegum strain down south, it was like a Krispy Cream donut in my mouth. My girl hated it. I love it. The sweet flavor isn't as prominent in all strains though.

I've got to try one of these bomb strains. Seems like every grow I see with these strains is outstanding, yours being an excellent example. So damn frosty! Great job so far duder, lookin forward to the rest.

Thanks Slacker. I thought I would share how I feed so many plants in case others may want to do the same. I use a 32 gallon Rubbermaid garbage can (new of course) as a reservoir. I used a milk jug to measure where the 15 gallon water level is. Simple math tells me that 1500ml times 36 plants is just under 15 gallons. So, I simply look on the Advanced nutrient calculator on their website and it tells me I need 227ml per A & B nutes at 1040ppm. I slowly add nutrients until I reach these exact numbers. I usually use full strength nutes for anything with a couple nodes. Then, I place a 4 inch air stone, connected to an air pump, into the mixed nutrients for around an hour. Then I simply plug in the 250gph submersible pump and it supplies water to a garden sprayer wand. This I use to fill a beaker to 1500ml and use the beaker to water.

The blue pipe is meant for an aquarium gravel pump. It attaches to the kitchen sink and a typical garden hose. This allows to fill the res. without moving its weight. The other use for it, and I can not tell you how convenient it is: the faucet attachment can also be used to create a suction if the kitchen faucet is turned on. This allows me to suck the run-off water from the bottom of the second 5 gallon bucket, and drain it into the sink easily.

The frosty pic is a sneak peak of Monday's update, taken today (Day 32 flower).

Hey the duder I just bought ten thc bomb seeds, can you give me a list of stuff I'll need to start this grow?

Sorry Vern, most of how I do things is slowly making its way into this thread. I try to think of tricks I've learned others may benefit from and include those here. If you have a specific question, I'd be glad to help; but, I can't write you a grow bible. I would suggest much research and narrow down the products that will work for you. I'm honored to have your first post be on my thread.

This is a great grow video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pxBHCyXruXM&feature=youtu.be. Watch it till you dream every detail!

Thanks Lucky.

Today's update will be after 6pm when the lights go off, so I can get better pictures. Still haven't received my macro lens so bear with me for the fine detail.

Not much to report this week but healthy growth all around. No problems that I can see. I installed an air conditioner into the room. I included some pictures of it and the update to the exhaust system. The A.C produces a ton of hot air it exhausts through a 6 inch duct. It's 245cfm, and 8,000 b.t.us. 209 bucks on Ebay. What a great investment. Day temperatures haven't gone above 78 since installation and night time temps are about 10-12 degrees cooler. No change to humidity, even on water days. Awesome!

They have all been getting full strength nutes for 2 weeks now. 1040ppm @ a ph of 5.7-6.0. I have an E.C meter coming that will let me measure that as well soon. The I.R thermometer will help to determine exact canopy temperature and help me position lights perfectly. Can't wait to get it. Still waiting on the cloner and the macro lens as well. I picked up an 8-layer drying rack so I don't have to use strings anymore. All worthwhile gadgets.

The 600w MH is exactly 22 inches above the smaller girls, which is as low as I will lower it without a more accurate temperature rating. The 400w HPS over the mothers is at 16 inches above the closest canopy. The plants in the big room get turned a quarter turn each day. I get very even growth this way. With one 5-gallon bucket inside the other, the plant can be turned VERY easily, even with wet soil and a heavy plant inside. One bucket will spin inside the other with little friction or resistance. This is a big reason why I choose round buckets. When crammed into the room with no gaps, square buckets must be lifted to be turned. Not an easy task, believe me!!! It leads to not going through the hassle each day. With the round buckets, no matter how close they are, they will turn very easily. Again, the second bucket works as a great reservoir to catch run-off and keep it away from the bottom of the plant until the bucket can be emptied of run-off using my above siphon technique. Helpful Hint: The plant tags are helpful as guides to how far to turn each bucket and a sign that the bucket was already turned so you don't lose track. I simply turn each plant till all the tags are facing the same way, 1/4 turn each day.

No promises: I ordered near a 100ft. worth of USB cable. I am going to try to capture time lapse of a patch in the larger room. I am not sure how great the quality will be so I don't want to promise to upload the video if its not worth looking at. I thought if nothing else, I could take some short videos of anything people need help visualizing. Coming soon...

Now, make with the whores...

Hey Duder, instead of getting a usb cable at that length, use a Cat 5E cable. Use the same type of cable that connects your computer to the internet (Cat 5E), then you will need 2 Balun's (balance/ un-balance units) that connects to both ends of the cable. Your camera then attaches to the balun @ one end, and to your cpu or recorder on the other end. You should have a much better signal at the proper speeds going this route, also I do know that Cat 5E cable for computer networking has a max distance of 328 ft. from end to end to get max speed+. So 100+ ft. for your camera's will work fine, USB I am not too sure about, they are typically made very short for a reason. So if your camera is USB check to see if they have balun's for USB camera's or maybe get a different camera with the proper connections.
P.S. you can power your camera and get 2 way audio also when using Cat 5E cables and balun's.

Thanks everyone! I try to give rep. but it wants me to, "spread it around first."

I already ordered the USB extensions. They weren't very expensive. I got a 50 ft and a 25 ft. I already got the short one, just waiting on the second from, of course, China.

I am a huge OCD person. So, I am always cleaning the room or checking plant vitals. I want the best pot that room can produce, not necessarily the most it can get. Though, I try for heavy yielding strains to ensure I get a balance of weight to quality. I hear myths whispered about White L.S.D's THC content; but, can't find anyone else growing it. I will take a mother from the strongest phenotype of each strain just before they flower so the room can be refilled once emptied.

This journal is great for me as well. It allows me to chronicle things better than simply labeled files.
