THC Bomb Mothers in Flower.

Hello all. This will be one of two Journals I will be starting. I noticed when trying to research THC Bomb from Marijuanaseeds.nl that I couldn't find a completed grow journal for the strain. If someone can direct me to one, I'd appriciate it. Well, months ago I started two feminized THC Bomb seeds as mothers in the hopes of reaping many clones to fill a larger flower room. 3 attempts at cloning lead to 100% failures. Clone domes, clean blades, B-vitamins, Clonex, Olivias, Gel, Powder, Heating mats, aeroponics, rubber-gloves...NOTHING would get the moms to clone. First batch: 62 clones; Dead! Second batch, 78 clones; Dead! Third batch: 24; Dead!

So, longer story short these moms have been abused in the name of progress, yet I found none. I have given up on the strain. Rather than ditch the mothers I switched their photo-period to 12/12. I also started the 3 remaining feminized seeds I ordered with the others. I figured I would post my difficulties in the hopes of finding someone who overcame this strain. The other reason is to provide a Journal for THC Bomb that goes to the end. She is a very hearty strain that takes serious abuse and keeps new green coming. Just couldn't clone her.

All that said, my next post will be pictures to catch you up to date on the lives the moms have lived thus far. All photos are exactly a week apart. They are in a new room now and under a much better light. I will only give the specs for the new room:

400W Mh/HPS Convertable, dimmable.
Fox Farm Happy Frog
Advanced Nutrients Sensi Line
Grandmas molasses at 2tblspn. per gallon.
Water, feed, water, feed, etc...every third day. (Nothing, Nothing, Water, Nothing, Nothing, Feed, etc)
Temps never deviate from 72-78 in the day and 10 degrees cooler at night.

Enjoy, and I hope this helps up all. Can't wait to see the moms and the new three finish.
Pictures will be up tonight.

These pics are of the moms. They start on December 16th and progress weekly to today. I may have missed a week or two. I tryed to put them in viewing order but may have jobbled a few because the thumbnails are small. I will post again for pictures of the three new girls which are in a separate room and coming along nicely in veg while they await a handful of recently ordered White LSD seeds. Enjoy!

Alright, the last few post should have everyone caught up. I snapped some pictures this morning of the 3 little girls in their second week of veg. I also snapped some of the mothers and their set-up. The moms are in their 3rd day of flower cycle. They have had tons of pre-flowers since maturity. I will post new pictures every Monday for ease of viewing. Without further delay...I give you all 5 of the THC Bomb girls...

P.S. The extra pots are for a White Lsd grow from feminized seed at Marijuanaseeds.nl Awaiting their arrival. Got a conformation of shipping 2 days ago. I hope everyone will follow the grow journal I start for them once they've sprouted. I have heard many glorious things of White Lsd and hope they're not full of shit. More importantly, I hope they can be cloned with some ease. Anyone growing this strain, I would love and help, once I've started the journal.

As promised, today is Monday, so it's picture day for the girls.

Mothers Closet: I installed a mesh yesterday. The plants were trimmed to exhibit the flat top, but the flower stretch would be more space than the closet would allow. Hence the screen, which the mothers already fill about 60% of. Today is a couple days shy of 1 full week into flower for the mothers. They have already accelerated growth and show many pre-flowers. I got around to switching the bulbs out two days ago so they are basking in red now. It should be noted that: THIS STRAIN DOES NOT LIKE HEAT! The grow room temperature should be measured at the top of the canopy, at the growth tip closest to the light. I played around a lot with canopy temperature and none of the THC Bombs can handle much more than 82F with comfort. More than that and petals begin to form the traditional V. They seem to prefer it a tad hot though, between 77-80F. They also enjoy having the soil dry between feedings. The strain doesn't seem to require much water under optimal environmental conditions. I measure at 1500ml each feeding and watering. Proportionally less for smaller girls. The strain can really take some abuse though and never seems to stress. I trimmed, FIM, and super-crop every branch often, leaving only the strongest branches best suited to future form. I pinched one branch in half and caused a 1 inch tear down the steam I could see through. The branch was standing again that night and is still at the top of the canopy. All pinching has left fat scar tissue around the wound and caused explosive growth to the upper branches with only minimal stress recovery time. Those are my thought on the THC Bomb Strain. I acquired mine from Marijuana-seeds.nl and different seeds looked and responded similar in the long run, there is a clear difference in phenotypes resulting from the same seed batch. The same batch of seeds, growth and feed identically, side-by-side will look slightly different and growth rates are slightly out of uniform. These differences can be overcome with proper training of each.

Big Room: The three new THC Bombs are finishing there 2nd week of veg in a couple days and are each progressing nicely. As noted above, and noticeable in the pictures, the plants exhibit slight visual differences though from the same seed batch. While two remain almost identical, one is clearly smaller in stature yet matched the others still in growth progression. I feed these girls under an identical schedule as the mothers (Nothing, Nothing, Water, Nothing, Nothing, Nutrient Feed, Nothing, Nothing, Water, etc...) only with Sensi Grow A&B rather than Bloom. They also receive molasses at each nutrient feeding at the rate of 2 tblspn. per gallon.

That's my thoughts on the strain and the progress. Future post will be shorter. Would love to see some interest in this thread to make it worth my efforts. Thanks all. Enjoy...

Ive noticed a difference in phenotypes also wiht THC Bomb. 2 of mine are taller and generally less prone to stress than the others, and im noticing this from my first grow.

For my grow ive been using Canna Coco with canna A&B, pk13/14, boost, and cal-max.
And i did 12/12 from seed under a 400w dual spec hps.

However after reading around and seeing pukka's coco grows, i think im going change things up for my next grow.
Will be adding cannazym, rhiz, topmax (instead of very expensive boost) and overdrive neuts as well.
Also im going to veg for about 4 weeks under 2 x 45w cfls per plant then flower under my dual spec 400w hps.

Going to get Sucanat at about 2 tblspn per 4ltr for flush also.

What seeds did you get free with your order from the site then?
I got 3 fem NYC Diesel that i want to try for my next grow :weed:

I have always gotten 3 free feminized G13 haze. Been that way for at least a couple years now. I wouldn't mind some free variety. I've always given away the free ones. The different varieties don't work well for an even canopy.

I decided to include in this forum the entirety of my bigger room rather than just the three THC Bomb. I'd rather not maintain a separate White LSD thread. When that grow starts next week, it will be posted here. Here is some pics of the bigger room. My hope is that pictures will illustrate my methods better than lecture. The sprayer is attached to a 245gph water pump in the reservoir. Any questions?

Need some replies here RLU. Thoughts, advice, comments, your knowledge is well received. The whole point of this thread is to help others who may attempt this strain. My methods are are controlled and efficient as possible to provide a standard we can all compare to easily. RLU can offer more than me...need some help!

Where's Dragon420?

Just got a batch in the mail! Started germinating a handful of feminized seeds from Marijuana-Seeds.Nl. Here's some pics of their shipping methods. 38 White LSD, and 3 G13 Haze to add to the 3 THC Bomb in the larger room. Including the moms, the grand total is 46.

Happy to have ya. I need more subscribers. I just finished germinating a few dozen girls and they are under the dome and fluorescent now. I suspect when the large room starts looking hefty, more will join the thread. Group progress is the goal, but we need a group. Update pics tomorrow. The moms got about 6" of vertical growth restrained under the screen just this past week. Pictures tomorrow...

-Dude

It's Monday again. Time for a picture update. The girls have been great. The mothers are stretching as they should and filling the screen more completely. The moms are on day 12 of flower now. The tops have gained a ton of hairs.

The 3 smaller girls are progressing beautifully. As evident, the difference in seedling/sprout size have normalized and the 3 girls look nearly identical. Still, one clearly has a thinner look to it, although matching the other's growth progression.

I included some pictures of the new seeds in their dome. I germinated them for 24 hours in distilled, room-temperature water. Once all the seeds fell to the bottom I poured them into a damp paper towel for another 24 hours. All but 5 had small tap roots protruding. All seeds were placed tap root down in Rapid Rooters that were soaked overnight in distilled water and 1/4 strength Grow nutes. Then they went into their tray which is within another tray which has 1/4 inch of water in it. The dome was placed on top and the whole unit placed on a flooded towel on top of the seedling heating mat and under a 6500k cool white fluorescent. I didn't include pictures of the process because I'm sure everyone here is familiar with it.

Any advice, comments, and subscribers are welcome to join the thread. So long as your efforts are geared toward our mutual progress. Without further delay...The ladies...

Snapped a few close-ups of the bud progression. These were taken today (Day12 Flower). The other picture is of the lower branch progression on the smaller THC Bomb. all others are nearly identical.

Thanks Jason. Your's will pull through bro. It is a very resilient strain, she can take the stress. What doesn't kill them will only make them stronger.

I'm enjoying the grow journal duder especially the photos. Keep up the good work.

Maine works on a caregiver system rather than the dispensary model. Each patient can grow up to 6 flower plants. Here's the kicker: As a caregiver you can grow another patients 6 plants for them and all you need is a written agreement between patient and caregiver indicating the patients desire to have the caregiver grow his/her plants. There is no limit to the number of patients a caregiver can take on. I keep just under 50 plants so I only need 8 patients and myself. In Maine, there is a caregiver's union which provides referrals to caregivers from patients and vice versa.

That's the law here. Although, violating those laws leads to the Nation's laxest marijuana penalties. According to NORML 1-1000 plants is a Class D Misdemeanor.

Hope you're in for the ride here Ovoxo. I have 40 new girls sprouted. It's gonna be magical.

-The Dude'r

Although I live having dispensaries, I really like the Main system, in California you can be a caregiver but technically you have to provide more then just marijuana you also have to care to their health so you cant just sign up people and grow for them. I think dispensaries can also grow for patients but then you have to be a non profit organization to do that.... so im stuck with just 6 plants for now. Im not totally clear on the laws here though....

Anyways, your grow looks great man. Im really excited to see all these new plants start to grow! Subbed

Interesting. Maine only allowed for 4 dispensary licences. They put them in the major cities. They also gave 3 of the liscences to the same person who has yet to open one. It is a horrible model which encourages out-of-state individuals to impede on Maine's free market. The caregiver model is designed to bring life back to the small farms and towns they reside in. The idea is that Maine growers will sell to Maine citizens and the money will stay in Maine. Recently, they have passed a measure here to allow for the taxation of all consumables like brownies, canna-butter, and the like. NORML.Com lists every state's individual laws and penalties. Check it out. I moved into Maine, just for the marijuana laws. Me and Mine are patients, not criminals!

Thanks for joining, feel free to chime in whenever you find need.

Below are some pictures of the new sprouts which have erupted and await transplant tomorrow. I believe in putting them directly into their permanent home to avoid any transplant stress during their young lives. This can be tricky when adding so many to such a large room. But, here goes...
