I have a pack of Mr. Nice Neville's Skunk, which is Neville's Haze X Afghan Skunk, that I'm probably going to pop half of next cycle. Any chance this will be skunky or are we talking euro-skunk here?

There is no british soccer team and the english football team sucks and has sucked since it has been founded. England is getting kicked out of the big tournaments in the group stage on a regular basis.

The american "soccer" team is only getting a whiff of the international level since a German has taken over. But for some funny reason, the US women's soccer team is really successful, i think they even won the world cup a few years ago.
There are things in this world in which the americans will always be right at the top of the world elite such as basketball or pool. But soccer, i'm sorry that i have to say it, will not be one of them, at least not within the next few decades. Your heart is in Football and baseball, this is where all the energy goes to. ALL american kids know how to play baseball and football.

And the "who's got the best weed" thing.... I wonder what 10000 potheads would select as their favorite if they could choose from the 5 best US strains (if there was such a thing as the 5 best) and the 5 best European strains. I bet you would get 3000 different opinions. I mean, just look at this forum. One guy says this and that strain is the best he ever had and there will be others who say they didn't like it.
I am glad that there are so many different countries involved in the trade. Different origins of the landraces, different opinions, different approaches and different tastes are a guarantee for me that i will always find something that suits my taste.

Well fucking said. What people seem to forget is what "they" (anyone of any nationality) is claiming as "theirs" is actually a hodgepodge for the most part of strains from many different origins around the world. It's a collective activity, to find and breed different regional cannabis varieties together.

Also most of what we claim are "the best" are one offs. Are they good? Of course, but not replicated easily nor representative of any particular region for the most part. So many hands, from around the world have worked very hard to try and identify standout strains.

I've had a lot of Cali ganja, even though I'm in the mitten state.

Every two weeks, a dealer who went to school with one of my best friends would get a package from a cousin who was a trimmer in Cali. That shit would sell so fast, $55-60 an eight with no discounts, most one could buy was a half.

This was pre-med days, and otherwise you were paying $100 an ounce for Canadian bud if you were lucky, or Mexico brick if you weren't in Detroit.

I got to smoke tons of great cannabis and looking back, it certainly wasn't compromised (bricked, shaked or otherwise abused).

Now with medical straight in this state, everything is just as good as Cali. Genetics are easy to get within other states, people are more open about cannabis, and trade is easier than ever.

At the end of the day, if you can grow a tomato plant, you can grow cannabis. Genetics are what make killer ganja, and a decent grower can accomplish the task. Anyone anywhere can grow awesome cannabis.

That might have been YOUR personal experience, but certainly not everyones in Mi. Theres always been dank if you knew the right people, and not all ''brick'' was garbage. The majority of the commercial bud that I was getting came up from Arizona, was green, nuggety, barely compressed at all. Not all weed coming from Mexico was bricked schwag. And true, genetics are extremely important, and keeping a healthy plant is something a lot of people can do, but its the small details that make some folks weed better than others with the exact same genetics. Details like how it was dried and cured and the environment it was dried and cured in. If you have dirty carpet, stinky animals, and a smelly house in general, its going to come out in your weed. Not everyone can produce awesome weed, and not everyone can grow a tomato plant. Some people flat out suck at gardening and never get it.

MI is in the Midwest which is a huge hub for drug shipments going coast to coast. which is why Chicago and Detroit has always been "blessed" with the good stuff. I'm positive good shit made its way around both IL and MI, not just Chicago and Detroit. That AZ bud was pretty good 15 years ago. Not sure where that came from through. Best guess would be Mexico or California.

Never said it was universal, most growers were elusive back then. I only knew a couple and they were outdoor growers. Never said all of it was junk either. I was always thrilled when Canadian bud came through. Just saying we had the good cali on the regular and i was purchasing bulk weekly for my group of friends. Once a week, go down to Southfield freeway, hit the neighborhood, have a QP for $275. Was always an adventure, one I don't particularly miss, but was always on point and no nonsense.

Two seasons ago I relocated the Tennessee Titans to London on Madden25. They are no longer soccer fans over there, they are all die-hard London Black Knights American football fans now. Last I heard they disbanded all soccer teams.

Growing up in the lower mainland of BC in the mid 80's, we were all growing "skunk weed". The only reason for the "skunk" label was because we have an indigenous plant the grows wild in the area called "Skunk Cabbage". Their odours where very similar, calling the cannabis "skunk" was just a way to differentiate from the brown import weed we used to get, and to identify the cannabis as locally grown "Skunk" Back in the day unscrupulous dealers would keep skunk cabbage in their stash, so the odour would transfer to the "bunk weed" and they would then pass it off as "Skunk weed".

Some of that beasters was pretty good shit compared to the mexi, which was always a toss up.

Beasters was not nearly as compressed, few beans, and pretty dense. It was a nice break and I was always happy when the outdoor harvest made its way across the border
