Chernobyl X Jack The Ripper code named Nuclear Jack. These are from back when I grew that JTR male and it filled both my rooms with seeds. I still have a shit load of them. Most of the mothers have had JTR already in them like Ace of spades, Chernobyl, Jesus OG Kush etc. Does that make these a BX cross or what does BX mean? Many pages back I think I mentioned my experiment. Tried pollinating 1 plant and it spread to 2 rooms LOL. My friends were growing some of the AOSxJTR and it seemed like each one turned out amazing. Thanks Sub for making this possible.

Topped these early and have them under a t5. Some of the pre flowers look like males :-(. I have a lot more seeds luckily.

I got a 5 pack of Mothertongue at a cannabis cup in summer 2015. Started them last fall. Here is an update. I like the smell of #4 the best so far. #1 was a male. #5 I killed the seedling on accident. That aero system in the back, I will probably try a run with it this summer. Might do it my last harvest before I remove everything and do some massive cleaning and a little construction on the place. Also hoping to add another LED or 2 to save on AC.

Just pulled my JTR at Day 66, first run under 3590's in a 3 gal fabric, still one of my favourite strains after 3.5 years bongsmilie
Same here. Next time I order seeds I'm getting it back for sure. Flavor and potency are top notch. Too potent for some. What are 3590's?

Worth a pheno hunt for sure, I have a pack around here somewhere just to find a male :) The 3590's are Cree 3590 COBs, I'm running 600w of them, Tasty LED bars. For some reason when I switched to these 3590's the terps on any strains I'm running are stronger than when I was running CMH, which is awesome tech in itself.

Nice. I'm thinking when I need less heat in spring of getting that new light from Amare http://www.amaretechnology.com/product-page/662befd5-fab5-fac8-f485-c0b1665ab157. They use Cree LEDs. I have also noticed stronger terps when I use LED compared HPS. Never tried a CMH. I hear they work great when heat is an issue. I been having decent luck with my kinds. They work good in veg but coverage sucks. Everyone hates them because of the price and a few other issues. My plants definitely look better under them compared to the HPS but again they don't have a very wide coverage. Buds bleach easy if too close. The place I got them said their customer service is a pain to deal with but fortunately I myself don't have to deal with them. Heard stories about a lot of lights coming in damaged. I think the Crees will outperform them and hope to put it to the test side by side. The Amares are not cheap either but I'm liking what I read plus their customer service is cool. In winter time though I like the HPS heat. It's nice to actually put all that normally wasted heat to good use.

That vortex I posted earlier was vegged mostly under the LED. When I first put it in flower it was under a 600w hps. I moved it under the kind today instead.

She is definitely looking like a gem so far, I think I'll be transplanting today (a little late due to space limitations) to give her a couple weeks to fill out more before the flip. I'll try to put some more pics up here. I only have 2 of the 5 Marionberry Kushs I popped left, 3 were male and I'm on the fence still about these two, but I believe I'll end up with one good solid female, just got my fingers crossed. They're stressed due to being rootbound right now so I attribute the high ratio of males to my inability to compensate for root growth.

Yeah those purple LED's like Mars and the like lack power in flowering, I use them for veg, they work well in veg but haven't used them for flowering for a couple of years. The Amare has some nice tech (they combine COBs and diodes, at least in some models), expensive but they should perform well for you, hands down better than the blurple panels for sure in flowering and should outdo your hps, certainly would watt-for-watt. The quality/terps is what's sold me on the newer LED techs like COBs, haven't seen or tried anything like it. Cheers.

I always hated jack and jack crosses cuz if/when I had a herm which does happen once in awhile, the jack side seems to skeets up the the whole room so I've always had a reason to avoid them.... yet I'm so curious cuz it's fuckin jack.... I got a single female qleaner plant out of a 5er ATM (however I planted 5 Brian berry at the same time and have 3 females to work through so nature works out in the end I guess...) But depending on how I feel about that qleaner and how it works in my room.... maybe I might man up n grab a pack, or at the least plant the rest of that 10 pack of qleaner... how do u think jtr would grow in single cola sog style of growing, no side branching just donkey dick in a small pot? (Don't worry about the small pot part, its hydro and works awesome as I've recently figured out, it's like a bottom feed hempy grow for what it's worth, turning into my best move yet obviously barring the fact I can't use soil)

Over the past year I had to leave my trusty recycled soil/super soil on the side of the road for dead in exchange for flood and drain tables, along with hydro rocks and all this other hydro bullshit cuz my new house has neighbors so close you cant yell or yank one out, or even talk to yourself without anyone hearing u....but I ain't gonna lie I'm liking it so far...the hydro part..... I have 2 grows through, 2 in the works and via the last upcoming go round, I finally got it..I didn't really have too much of a problem but I had to figure out the nute mixtures and leave the bottled instructions alone to get what I was looking for. Now I'm getting 18-20"+ single colas that are gonna be redonk-ulas in about 30 days... grown in 5"x5"x7"tall square pots with zero veg clones that I've actually managed to amaze myself with... the first couple weren't up to snuff but the quality and finish time were... my less potent CQ pheno had me a half step away from visuals so I did something right even though they didn't yield like they were supposed to...

But I ask about the side branching of jtr plants because the ones I need to be good grow and yieldwise gotta be non branch-i.e.-ish single cola dominant plants, like serious seeds chronic that I just HAD to get along with a pack of cherrygasm that I'll hopefully be planting later on today and hopefully doing a pollen chucking experiment with the best I can find out of the bunch, chronic-cherrygasms doesn't sound bad in the imaginary world of someone whose never chucked said pollen..... but jtr has been a curiosity since day 1 that my obsession started with tga and yet also given me one of those "fuck jack" type attitudes but more curiosity than fuck em... I wanted to give it a go via Pandora's box but never got a chance...

There's so many strains out now I don't know where to start but my new growing methods make me a little more limited which helps me out... single cola non/minimal secondary branching type strains... How's that work in the search bar....

Sorry for the rambling I just wake n baked with that cheese quake....

Mothertongues update. As I stated earlier, I started these from 5 pack. Sucks my CO2 generator is only kicking on once in a while. Might have to add bottles again as much as I hate hauling them. Way of the fucking road.

#3 D41 The chemical burned looking leaves is from a pyrethrin bomb I placed too close to the plant. Noticed a few thrips in flower area so got nervous. This one has big buds but they are not as dense. Has that real harry look to it. The other ones have thicker hairs.

#4 D35 I like this one the best the smell is remarkable. It actually kind of a watermelon smell.

One of my biggest interest when I started serious growing indoors was JTR also. High in the THCV they say. Much thanks and praise to Sub for creating JTR. Then also much thanks and praise to that Dioxin guy for Chernobyl(Blood Wreck x JTR). It really is amazing how flawless these strains truly are. They have changed many lives in a positive way. Just from seeds, clones, and sharing. JTR is one of my favorites especially with that flavor. Chernobyl seems to get me the highest and also seems to me like most other like it best. I grew some Jack's Qleaner and I did like it. Very similar to JTR. I think either would be great harvesting a SOG single cola style. I'm thinking about running some Jesus this summer just single cola buds in an aero system. I'm remodeling a little at my place so will have to downsize. The aero system should be fun. As far as hydro I've done DWC many times. I swear the plants always seemed to grow a lot more bushy but back then I only had a cheap PH meter plus my water was way too hot resulting in root rot. Still got decent yields though. The Chernobyl and Timewreck seemed to both grow wide without even topping or bending them. Once I also did a rockwool cube hand watered. I still think super soil will be easier though for me overall. Especially with perpetual harvest.

Jesus OG Kush D56 coming down later today. I know it could of went longer but need some room and have more in veg anyway. I have grown other Jesus' from seed and they didn't stretch this much. I really like the flavor on this one. Just need a little better canopy control LOL.Probably should have also used a 3 gallon or less. Still a lot of food in this soil.

Respiratory Health and Cannabis

Stoner magazine ask me to do an article about cannabis and health, I jumped at the chance to do this because I have very strong viewpoints on the subject. I first started using cannabis as an adolescent around the age of ten. I've always use cannabis to help control my anxiety and hyper activeness. Cannabis is known to be safe non-toxic and generally safe for human beings. This safety however it does not apply to smoke. Most people in the industry know I have a genetic respiratory disease but I have learned so much about lungs and the respiratory system going through what I have gone through for the past 4 years. I told my doctor Vu Tran that I had always use cannabis and then I felt that it was not harmful to me and had no impact on my lung disease he told me that while cannabis was not harmful smoke of any kind can be dangerous, whether it be cannabis smoke Leaf smoke, smoke from a fire it is not good to the healthy pink tissue that is our lungs. As a Pulmonologist he sees hundreds of patients and his professional opinion and many of his peers is that Lungs don't like smoke. This brings me to my point, recently technology has come on the scene and wax makers and oil makers everywhere are blasting thousands of pounds of butane. I first made my own wax open blasting with a O'Neal tube and some butane in a can. I didn't really know what I was doing I was just trying to concentrate the THC and make a stronger product. The biggest problem with this product that I made was that it was not tested and there's no telling how much contaminants I ingested into my system. So when I'm online looking at YouTube videos or looking at Instagram pictures I'm noticing a new trend that is Young Adults doing massive string dabs. There seems to be almost a competition as to who can take the largest hit inhaling this massive volume of smoke in expanding the lungs larger than they should be expanded is certainly not good for you. So let's talk about the concentrate in Industry as a whole there is no regulation on the process it is federally illegal to even blast as they like to call the process. Oregon as far as I know is the only state that is done any regulation at all in order to sell concentrates in Oregon they must be tested for pesticides and contaminants. From a consumer standpoint I am blown away at the difference in quality of concentrates that I see in the shops locally. You can bet that the cheaper concentrates on the Shelf contain contaminants and pesticides we call this butane soup. Now my fans that have read this far are probably thinking why is Sub saying anything negative about cannabis I'm not I'm simply saying that inhaling large amounts of smoke over a lifetime may not be good for your lungs and I think young people should be aware of this. As a consumer I think I can make Intelligent Decisions about my health I have been using cannabis for four decades so I feel I have a little bit of information that can guide me. New Users of cannabis whether it be concentrates or edibles may not be aware that there are some risks involved mainly pesticides and contaminants. Concentrates often have high levels of Pesticides. I hope everyone reading this article will take my words with a grain of salt I certainly am not saying that cannabis is bad for you I enjoyed it very much and it is made a positive influence in my life however with the new information that I have I do not take giant dabs of concentrate and if I use concentrates you can bet they've been tested and are free of pesticides and contamination.I smoke only on occasions and I feel medibles are safer for long term use.The morel of the story is to make sure your cannabis and concentrates are pesticide free and maybe not try and burst your lungs with giant dab hits. You will breath easier.
