I've owned my share of internal combustion engines......my next car will be an EV.

So will mine. But I don't keep myself in a state of oblivion of the long, slow course away from the ICE. We will not survive the end of the ICE (assuming you're not a 20 something) without great pains and tribulations.

I would rather see my tax $$ invested in green energy and not in subsidizing the oil industry....the only thing slowing the transition to EV's is the will to say no to Big Oil..

My money is on auto companies that have actually shown they can consistently deliver quality cars and Musk keeping rich off the patents his scientists developed that they sell.

The article noted that buyers are focusing more on cutting-edge technology and compared the sales numbers of Volkswagen, Toyota, and Tesla.

Volkswagen sold 1,267 ID.4 vehicles between January and May 2021 in China. Toyota, the article noted, didn’t do well at all. It only sold 327 electric vehicles during the same time period. On the flip side, Tesla delivered a combined 33,463 of its Models 3 and Y vehicles in May. The article pointed out that Xpeng and NIO also set monthly sales records in June.
