'Just a journal for my own amusement & nothing more.... I don't profess to be a great grower & accept an awful lot of fuck-ups have already happened & many more will also ensue....

A mass of Leda Uno & a few Charlottes Angel clones have been pulled from my indoor tents & put out under the glorious(!) Aussie spring sunshine.

Leda Uno Mother plants have been neglected in the past few months due to a broken clavicle, so I'm just clearing them out & putting the girls out to pasture. They're the tall ones front-right.

I have cuts, so I can start new mothers.

Everything here is in coco-perlite with hydroton balls to prevent algae growth on the surface & fed from the IBC (that's the big square black thing up the back).

The IBC has some nasty things in it & despite dosing it with 2L of H2O2, it's still looking like a Quatermass experiment. Once it's almost empty, it's going to get flushed-out & refilled & hit with a BIG dose of sodium percarbonate. Another IBC will take its place until I'm sure it's clean again.

Well, things aren't progressing as I would've liked. To quote a line from "The Odd Angry Shot": "This FUCKIN' RAIN!!!"

DSCN3320.JPG

The Charlotte's Angel clones are turning out to be a complete waste of time, so they're going to compost & the pots & hydroton balls will be re-purposed.
DSCN3321.JPG

Leda Uno clones are faring much better - all topped & praying:

'Got a bit excessive with the Supercropping on the older clones (1st pic), so we'll see what happens there.

Right now, I'm thinking to just pop a whole heap of random freebies that I've accumulated over the years, chuck them into the greenhouse with the chillies & see if anything worthwhile eventuates.

After reading the titke, I shall now refer to you as tickleberry tackleface in my head from this moment on.

On a side note, that setup is something I would kill for coming from someone stuck growing in the same room they live in, but then again I have a hard enough time with three plants.

Chucking a few freebies with no expectations can lead to a unplanned favourite being found. I'd go for gold and see what fate brings.

Mate, you can call me anything you like. The thread title was chosen as purely alliterative in a transient moment of intoxication.:)

I'm just chucking multiple ideas & different techniques at this lot. I'm aware that I have space available to me that most folks don't have & it's all just going to have to play-out over time.

I plan on setting-up a timed low-pressure watering regime from the IBC (more will join it).

There will, no doubt, be some successes & some monumental failures. I'm prepared for all of that.

In the meantime, I'll pop some seeds & see what happens.

After all this recent rain, it's great to FINALLY have some sunshine & temperatures inm the mid-high 20's!!!!

DSCN3324.JPGDSCN3325.JPG

These three are probably destined for the compost pile, however. I went a bit "Commando" on the supercropping (A fuck-up I predicted in the OP).

I could chop all the crap off them (like....get really fucking aggressive) & see if the rest of the plant survives. They're all clones that I've had ticking-over inside during winter, but I'm always prepared to admit my failures & this seems to be 3 of them.....

I've already had an advanced Charlotte's Angel Mother plant succumb to bud rot that's pissed me off. Shit happens....

I was gonna do a swag of cutting/culling this arvo, but there's a large thunderstorm approaching from the North. About to hit in 15-20 mins, so I'm just going to crack a beer for now & come back to it in a couple of days.

A lot of shitty stuff will now need to be cut-out to save the majority from a total loss to botrytis.

That early supercropping idea I had was, in hindsight, one of those monumental fuck-up ideas I shouldn't have had. 'Should've just LST'd & caged the plants from the start & maintained the overall health & integrity of the plants.

Ah well.........The Fog of War with myself & interaction with the plants & environment in which I live......

Trashed 8 pathetic Charlotte's Angel clones today. That means I'm out of high CBD plants for the moment.

Now thinking to bring a few of the smaller Leda Uno's back into the indoor F&D tent soas not to have all of my eggs in one (OD) basket & run them as they started.

'Gonna leave the cages around the survivors of this shitful rain, as they'll probably fill-out quite a bit come Jan/Feb.

'Bit the bullet today & brought 9 of the Leda Uno clones back inside to the F&D system under a GLA 500W LED array :
DSCN3340.JPG

I KNOW this is not considered "best-practice", but at least I'll have something to show for months of nurturing over winter/spring & not be disappointed when the whole OD lot turn to bud-rot (which has happened a few times in the past few years).

I also have a small Leda Uno feminised seed-project underway, where I used STS on a few of the recent clones as a test:

DSCN3341.JPG

"Been shaking the donors over the recipients every day.

We'll see..........

Foliar feed of NTS Potassium Silicate & Calcium/Boron for everything today.

Nothing to see, but 'pretty sure I have a Potassium deficiency that I'm in the process of addressing. If I can be arsed, I'll take some photo's tomorrow.

PS. Thanks Oz.......

The OD girls all got moved & de-caged today in order to mow the grass around them that's been getting an absolute GORGE on DTW hyrdo nutes.

Re-established everything back on the plastic pallets, but now re-thinking.....

MUCH has been cut-out & trashed, with no second-thoughts. I fucked-up with a supercropping experiment. I know that now. No regrets.

The newest clones are coming-along nicely. Now the decision comes down to whether to LST/cage them before they go extant.

'Got a bit organised & re-caged the bigger girls this arvo:

The other girls are just ticking-along for the moment....

'Made up 1000L of nutes today.

600g Campbell's Diamond T
200g MgSo4
400g CaNo4

EC has been spot-on 1.2 every time I've mixed it. Never thought of pushing things any higher. I'm happy with that.

Also made 2L of KOH (50g/2L) to adjust the Ph (the tank water varies quite a bit, but is generally kinda low).

Sleep deprivation does weird things to people.....:o

The 9 indoor girls that I pulled back-in from OD got a damned-good seeing-to (defoliation) in their nether-regions today & put back under LED's:

DSCN3350.JPG

They have now succumbed to my superior will & were subjected to a bit of "gentle" B&D. The SCROG net will have to come out soon, as I'll give them a week before I flip them & rearrange things & re-claim some headspace for stretch.
DSCN3351.JPG

How I do another day-21 defolitation is the next challenge, but I'll work it out on the day.

The feminised Leda Uno seed project is coming-along nicely:
DSCN3352.JPG

Once this lot finishes, I'll be on a seed-making quest with a succession of Reg. TNR/Leda Uno/Skunk #1 for next year.

Did I mention sleep deprivation????:hump:

Changed a few bits & pieces around today.

From the "original" Mother plant (aeons ago), the 4 original Mother plants (left of shot) that spawned this lot are chugging-along perfectly fine, 'though I think they'll be groaning under their own weight by the time comes to the chop.

The "youngest" clones (front-right) are also happy right now. They're all from the same progeny & all the same age.

There are 5 in smaller (20cm) pots & the other two (front-right) got up-potted into larger pots at the same time. More roots, more fruits.....

DSCN3353.JPG

The older clones have gone into re-veg. That would be a problem with my timing to take them from ID-OD.

Not a great drama overall, but I think they'll end-up as Capsule-material by the time they finish.
Like.....that's a problem????

DSCN3354.JPG

A few branches have broken & I've discarded an absolute SHITLOAD & repaired a lot, but I still have plenty to play-with......:)

The 9 indoor girls got a res-change today (4 days since flip). They were showing a bit of light-stress a couple of days ago, so the 480W LED's have been raised 10-15cm.
DSCN3355.JPG

They missed a couple of floods earlier today, which is why the flood table is full - did a manual flood after everything was re-set.

The 5 OD girls in smaller pots were up-potted yesterday. The leftover ID Res. solution will go on the OD girls after the approaching thunderstorms have blown-through.

'Got a bit wild & windy up on the Mountain in the past couple of days.....

DSCN3356.JPG

The previous similar unit lasted 3 years (with repairs). This one lasted all of 2 fucking days!!

Note to self: Don't waste money on cheap-shit greenhouses unless they're in a suitably sheltered place.

4 x Leda Uno indoor Mother plants that I decided to finally put out to pasture after a year of faithful service are now enjoying their new Aussie sunshine environment (& LOVING it!). However, they're looking at getting a bit too crowded in the cola-department in the next couple of months & my crystal ball tells me that I can forsee bud-rot if they don't have some airy space between them.

DSCN3358.JPG

Their branches are all kinda woody, so it's too late to employ LST.

Right now, I'm thinking to give each of them their own plastic pallet & gently tie the branches out/down individually to the pallets, but I'm happy to receive any other ideas.

In hindsight, I should've left the cages in place........

'Twas the night before Christmas & I've just created a "Watering-Stick" with a wooden stake so I don't have to kneel or sit down to water the OD girls (a "certain" female dog has kneecapped me. CT scan after the Public Holidsays will ensue).:(

DSCN3366.JPGDSCN3367.JPGDSCN3368.JPG

The younger clones are looking like Continental Parsley with sideways-curling leaves, so I'm guessing an excess of N & a PH issue I need to resolve.

I've just been out watering the girls by hand, dressed in sandals, shorts, a T-shirt, sunnies & a wide-brimmed hat. It's been 28C today & 30C predicted for tomorrow.

If I hear any more references to Frosty the Snowman, Sleighbells, Holly, Santa or the apparent birth of Christ on 25/12, I swear, I'm gonna go absolutely fucking postal!!!
