The azamax alone didn't do squat. That's with a couple applications in a week. Avid and Forbid did the job quickly. Might be that avid alone would work, but after doing the organic stuff, then up the chem warfare ladder, I was done tip toeing around the problem.

On a side note, might not be using the azamax ever if possible. I work in an ER and I see enough cannabinoid hyperemesis syndrome to know it's a real thing. My very deep suspicion is it's one of our newer pesticides, azamax being high on the list of suspects. No pun intended. Prior to 2010, never saw a hyperemesis patient that wasn't either on chemotherapy, pregnant, or had known liver/pancreas/gallbladder issues.

Find it odd that this thing pops up in my lifetime, but people have been using cannabis forever. Also odd that it hits someone for a couple weeks or so, repeated ER visits, like every day or every other day. But then they manage ok for a month or two sometimes. Did they switch growers from the dispensary without knowing? All the people I've talked with buy commercial weed. They don't know how it's grown.
Don't blame Azamax; it's just a neem oil concentrate.

Azamax is a horticultural oil and it's this that makes it so good to pair with Avid. If you read the entire manual that comes with Avid, right near the end it says that its residual effect is extended if it's mixed and applied with a horticultural oil. THAT'S the effective synergy between the two. I don't know if Forbid will do the same.

I can also definitively debunk your suspicion connecting cannabinoid hyperemesis syndrome with Azamax; I've gotten a mild case and I hadn't been using Azamax. Other pesticides may contribute, but I can assure you that particular one does not.

Finally, don't use Azamax or any other horticultural oil after the second week in bloom if you want to make hash. It won't make a solid shatter if you use it too late in the bloom cycle.

How do you know a singular case of nausea and vomiting is CHS? By it's very nature a singular case is not CHS. I don't think the majority of people have a sensitivity to Azadirachtin, thus we aren't seeing hundreds of cases in my ER. Thank God.

Your information on mixing Avid with a horticultural oil makes sense. I'll buy that. Thanks!

Oh and nothing goes on my girls once they show flower.

Thanks. Was interesting enough to read up on it. Grand Evo on it's website talks about keeping populations low. Fuck that. How about keeping populations at 0.

Although, that said, looks like could be super useful as a safe part of an integrated pest management system.

I was diagnosed by an experienced medical professional after I'd been experiencing symptoms for several weeks. I hadn't used Azamax or anything else stronger than Green Cure (for powdery mildew) for over a year prior to that time.

Russet mites.......Your going to have to sanitize the whole grow op - EVERYTHING! Spray in cracks and undersides of tables, floors, walls, ceiling, under over around - all surfaces - under where things were and the bottoms of what was there.......Bug bomb the room....

ANY plants in veg need to be hit with a mite nuker NOW.....FORBID 4F has a good rep with Russet mites....

As far as gassing them on the buds.....might as well.
Yes - Forbid 4F for russets.

You have to watch your lower leaves and get a small microscope. I had Russets and I thought I was overcooking the nutes. They went right up the veins of the leaves and the veins started turning a rust color. The lower leaves will be your first warning.

You need a microscope to see them and they will be under the leaf. You need at least 10 to 20 x power. You get almost no warning. If you want to be super careful. Pull lower leaves every few days and look under a microscope. A jewelers loop or magnifying glass is not strong enough. You might be able to get a phone app too.

Just for others here who might think our friend is pimping Grandevo - Jorge Cervantes and this dude in Oregon like GrandEvo.
.

He also likes PRF-97. It is a live fungus. Also likes something called Naturalis.

Jorge aka George Salem is a bit of a pitchman but he does have great hair for an old stoner.

I built my grow rooms on Jorge's rec's and nothing has ever surprised me except the no mite, no death, no issue high quality experience I've had. But I admit had I seen just one video with him instructing I would have passed on the bible.
