Tent seems a tad unsturdy..x(

So I just got a new 5x5x6.5 Growden tent and I would say it's pretty nice, the material is heavy dudty and has nice zippers ect. the pole are metal so I though oh okay well thats probably better. Anyways so it's been setup for a bit now with nothing hanging cause im running around trying to get all that I need. I got my light and decided to hang it up to see how it looks, how much room ill have and yeah.. I left it up for a few days to figure out what to do about heat. (I forgot to mention that the light is a 1000 watt air cooled, I don't know if it's a raptor hood but its got a design like that, its about 3.5x2 ) anyways again x) the tent only came with 3 top bars so I put 2 across and 1 under. When the light is hanging it just seems a little sketchy you know? The only thought that stops me from worrying tooo much is "oh well it's made for this, it should be fine" but i took the light down and one of the poles are already getting warped, how could I strengthen it? I really don't thing it could hold a carbonfilter to, let alone a fan, there isnt really room because the top 2 are parrellel to eachother to support the light.
Any thoughts, comments, inputs, experiences would be amazing! Thanks in advance bongsmilie

You could replace the bars with pvc and cut notches in it to fit snug on the main frame bars. If the frame seems weak put those bars inside pvc for more support. I havent tried those ideas but pvc is cheap and strong so i dont see why it wouldnt work. Or shit better yet build a whole new frame and just use the shell of the tent.

I was thinking that yeah, the pvc idea... It's brand new and it's not catastrophicly bad but I feel like it could only last about 1 round. It doesn't seem like it's a bad or shit tent to me the actuall tent material is quality, but it's the only tent ive seen in person, but all the ones ive seen online have pretty much the same frame design and material.. Some are even plastic xD these are metal at least, but not high quality and durable, it doesnt seem any different than other tents in frame factor. I was thinking of maybe some really durable tape and put it around the corners and the middle and the support areas.

Well good luck in whatever way you choose to fix the problem. sounds like you will definately need to do some modifications since id imagine you want to run a carbon filter also which can be pretty heavy. You can always hang your inline fan outside of tent too.

Hey guys, I need help. How do I post questions?
IDK what the posting requirements are, but there are no restrictions on using search.
That's the best place to start, it's likely someone has already had/is having the same problems you are. It also gives you a leg up on getting personal advice if you do some of the leg work first.

Sorry for the hijack, Greentrees.
I got an apollo a year or so ago. I only hang my filter and light inside, fans hang outside the tent. I'd be concerned if you got a permanent bend. PVC, or maybe some of that aluminum or steel electrical conduit, notched to fit as suggested by chronnie. A tube is stronger than a solid rod the same size. Lighter too. I think you'll find a tent beneficial if you can keep temps & humidity under control. Some folks don't like them, though.
G/L!

I use an apollo also and it seems pretty strong. Have the hood and 6x24 can lite hanging and it doesnt seem to stress the poles at all. Not bad for 120 bucks.
