Tent Cooling Question for 4000 Watt

I'm moving out of my current spot in a couple of weeks so its time to make a new setup. I was thinking of trying a tent out as it could save me a lot of setup time and effort. So my question is would a portable ac be enough to cool down a 10x10x6.7 tent with 4000watts in them? What btu would you suggest? Summers coming and it gets hot here in kali. Please don't give advice if you're just guessing. I understand you're trying to help but that's like thanking a guy for wrong freeway directions just because he tried to help. Thanks fellas.

could put the ac in the room out side the tent and run the lights straight thru the tent ( like outside tent ---> into tent light ---> light ---> out of tent into room ) Do the lights in sets of two, that way the inside the tent stays cooler

But the tent up site down and tight all the lights up in a bundle and hang them in the middle, about 3 inches from the ground
Get a dream catcher and a book of natural spells

That should do it for you, Im not guessing :P

(sry dude Im blasted, but love to see some pics when you get the system up)

Just a thought and yeah Im only guessing because I have never done such a large grow in such a warm climate but if you have a basement in your new place could you not pump air from there and into the tent and try to have air cooled lamps ?, you can even get water cooled lamps

Cheers bro :)
Heat load is what determines your btu requirements.
Things that will minimize heat load:
1. isolate the light venting (completely)
2. Insulate the growing space r-30
3. AC needs to reject heat not in the room that the tent sits in.
4. Don't use a tent in a garage that gets 120f+ in kali. Build a framed structure that can be insulated.
5. Start looking into cge, lots of info around the web. AC will only work efficiently if you do not vent the conditioned air.
I'm in cali, and my space is in the garage, cge is the only viable way considering the excessive ambient temps we deal with. At least if you want to grow year around.

its going to be in a bedroom. I'm venting the hot air from the ac outside. I'm thinking of getting a growlab tent.

14,000 btu would work. 16000 btu would be ideal for other possible enhancements. but fuck 12000 btu is 3000 per light and that should be enough.

Thanks. I guess I'm going to get the gl290 and shell out 500$ or so for another ac.... seems like every summer I buy an ac.... ill just get it from sears or best buy, if its not strong enough I guess I can return it

Cool, just make sure you reduce the load for the ac as much as you can by isolating lights first and not rejecting any heat into the space that you are drawing ventilation air from ;)
Good luck!
