what is the lowest temperature a marijuana can withstand?
it can take pretty low temperatures in short bursts but when its really low for a long period of time the plant will die. i'm not entirely sure on how low but i would think somewhere around 50 maybe a bit lower

From the National Weather Service glossary:
"Frost: The formation of ice crystals on the ground or other surfaces in the form of scales, needles, feathers, or fans. Frost develops under conditions similar to dew, except the temperatures of the Earth's surface and earthbound objects fall below 32oF. As with the term "freeze", this condition is primarily significant during the growing season. If a frost period is sufficiently severe to end the growing season or delay its beginning, it is commonly referred to as a "killing frost". Because frost is primarily an event that occurs as the result of radiational cooling, it frequently occurs with a temperature reading in the mid 30s."

"Frost/Freeze Advisory: This product is issued by the National Weather Service when freezing temperatures or conditions conducive to the formation of frost occur during the growing season.

Frost Point: Dew point below freezing."

I'm in Kelowna BC in and the temperature here is droping usually to a low of 5 degrees at night time and i haven't had a problem so far. Mine are just sprouts but i have them in a mini greenhouse as well. I was worried at first to put them out there but i can't have them inside so they would have died anyway, thought i might as well chance it. They've been doing nicely as long as it doesn't get below zero i would think you should be fine, providing its only cold at night and warms up again during the day. Long cold temperatures aren't good.
