Temperature MATTER for curing???

i would say try to keep it on the cooler side, 88 seems a lil too hot and could possibly create a problem and make the buds sweat in the jar (thus leading to mold).. u should also keep the jars away from direct light for extended periods of time.

are you going to cure the bud in jars? lights degrades thc so you need to keep them in a dark place and like dave said, high temps will encourage the bud to sweat.

well i can cure it in a cooler room.

I wanted to DRY it in the same room as the growing so I can clean the air with carbon scrubbers. I'm worried the high heat will dry the buds out TOO fast.

heat is the #2 degrader of THC, and really starts to pick up over 90 degrees f. Light is #1, and oxygen is #3.

arent you suposed to let your buds sweat in the jars then burp them for a better curing wich leads to nice smaooth smoke and smelly buds? at least thats what ive been readin all over this fourm

yes, but you don't want them to get hot. Ideally you are under 75 degrees in the dark. Once you are in a jar you burp till they are the proper dryness, then pretty much age as long as you'd like.

Most reading I have done indicates that most molds appears around 70 degrees F so I try to keep the temp under this as much as possible. Drying and curing take longer at the lower temps, but this is what I am looking for personally. If you can keep the mold at bay the slower and longer you go through the process the more favorful, smooth and potent the end product. I hang the whole plant whenever possible (95% of the time), doing this, it routinely takes a month to fully dry the plant before it is ready for the jars. I keep the jars in a cool, dark dry place and start to smoke after two months in the jars. Whether this is a good method or not it has served my purposes for many years. Happy Growing and Good Luck
