Hello again growers, I will have access to a spot that is kinda up in the mountains(in CA) and when I was there the other day around 4 pm it was around 40 degrees F. I will have the grow room inside, how much will a 1000 watt MH heat up a room that is about 10 x 10? I'll have it ventilated for fresh air but I'm not sure if I'll need to vent the hot air from the light since its so cold there and the house doesn't have a heater(just a fire place) Also, when it flowers, whats a good way to keep the room heated while its in its dark period? Thanks again! Journal coming soon!

I'm going to do you a favour. I'm going to answer your questions. What's more, I'm going to answer them without being a wise-ass. Like some others on this forum. How about that?

There's no way to know how much a 1000W light will heat a room 10 x 10 (10 x 10 what, btw?) without actually measuring the temps over time.

There's just no way. You'll just have to set it up and take readings on temp.

What's a good way to keep the room heated? A heater, with a thermostat.

You might consider having the light on at night instead of during the day, if the daytime temperatures are tolerable for plants.
If I were you, I'd have lights on during day and buy a heater with a thermostat.

Yep.

Get a thermostatically controlled oil filled spaceheater. Or run your lights during the night.
