I don't know if anyone else has noticed,but google maps in my area has nerfed the bicycling speed. Used to calculate an average of just over 20kph (~22kph), now it thinks a bicyclist will average just under 15 kph. This is a 30% decrease in speed.
Conspiracy to keep people on transit and uber or are just more people biking now and it shows in their data? Oddly enough it told me 1:51 by bus and 1:59 by bike.

A few rides up and down the street. It’s shifting pretty well for a “broken bike”, but before I get to work on it, I’m waiting for the Rapid fire trigger shifter to arrive, and may just replace the derailleur all together.
But I’ve been working on the other bike, I do a Sunday night “electric parade” in Venice Beach, and I had to take apart my bottom bracket yesterday for an overhaul. Also had to readjust my cadence sensor (ebike stuff)
But the fat bike is fun. It’s neat to deliberately roll through and over things that you would usually vehemently avoid on a regular bike.

We're you able to get it fixed before the ride? I was looking at a few fat bikes over the weekend. You got me thinking they look like a lot of fun. No big box stores had any stock I could only find ones for >$1,000 at the bike shops. I'll keep an eye on kijiji and craigslist for something used.

Yeah I got it patched together enough, but I need a new bottom bracket. It's a fun little ride, only 5-10 miles depending on the route we take. Last night was one of the longer ones.

I bang out laps like I'm strava but I just ride for fun. No keeping track for me normally.Others point out we are flying but id don't care.
I just like trail riding downhill and hitting the jumps.
Gotta say, go to whistler if your into bmx tracks down mountains.
It will change your life.
Edit, I'm not the kid in the air.

Yeah, but I’m not as anti-establishment as some people. They sell my data, I get access to a free app updated regularly by thousands of actual riders around the world. I see it as a trade off of sorts.
