Tell me about your Bicycle

Found a pic of my road bike a 63cm felt. fits me good and the carbon fork helps the ride. really a nice bike.

Found a pic of my current favorite gravel bike. I picked this xl schwinn select built bike on Craigs list for 100 bucks. Has carbon fork and carbon seat stays. Nice lite and good ride on the gravel and fits 700 x 32 tires.

I read this thread as me and a couple buddies getting ready for a 50 mile ride today. There's a brewery in the middle of the trail that's out in the boonies. It's all flat and should have the wind at our backs with a solid buzz on the way home. Should be interesting.

2006 Cannondale rush 1000 w/ lefty "fork". When they were made in the US. Wish I knew the miles I put on this thing. 100 miles a week was common before having a kid. It's an XL frame I just ride seat high. I'm all legs haha.

I’ve always wondered how those forks ride...they just look so outrageous!

I rode my bike today, nothing crazy just a short ride around the city, mostly along the Grand River in downtown Grand Rapids, MI

I tried to ride up into an 8 level parking garage because I just love to race back down, but I got busted by a security guard at floor 7


....so the guard made me walk my bike back to the elevator and go back down

Awesome pics! Funny about the guard...I usually just keep riding and say “what? It’s hard to hear you!”...hahaha. But nice of you to play by the rules. I guess it would be his ass that got fired if you were hit by a car on the way down too

Shes a smooth operator. Had to have it rebuilt once. First gen lefty so issues were somewhat expected. but a solid 10 years before that had to happen. The lockout is where it failed on me. Really like the adjustable rebound. Except when you forget to adjust from trails to road and drop off 3 foot curb and end up eating shit. Lol

I bought myself an electric bicycle, I wanted to buy something like that for a long time, but since there was never anything like this, I used the manual to be completely confident in my steel horse and not run and pull people to help me, it's always nice to understand something yourself.

These electric bicycles are quite difficult to understand, so I think that it is difficult to set up everything qualitatively without a manual, unless you have a good experience of using them,but I didn't have that. An electric scooter is a very useful and convenient thing, I use it to work every day.

Maybe some day in the future when i am older i might consider an E-bike. Right now the legs work good. me in the red shirt. I have lost 50 pounds since that race.

Never underestimate an older guy with a beard on a bike.

Wheels are a rabbit hole. You have to stick with it when learning how the tension affects the wheel and the way it handles a load as it rolls down the road. Ps. Good reason to ride disc brakes if possible because if you do knock the wheel out true or snap a spoke you still have brakes while you make your way home. Either of these books will allow for better wheel building vision.

Yes that is my ti Lemond. they were built by Clark Kent out of colorado in the early 90s. this race was a metric century 65 miles i think. the ti bike really does help soak up the road bumps. i bought this bike used about 5 years ago. for 400 bucks. its a 59cm a little small for me but still fits ok.

Older Lemonds were classic euro sizing, no sport geometry there! Hell I'm close or use to be 6' and I could ride a 55cm even then! You see Greg is launching a new E-bike line? Not a fan of the e-bike but I might be swayed if it had one of America's greatest cycling names on it.. Oh and screw you Trek for never making amends with Lemond after the whole Armstrong bullshit.

i had a 61 cm lemond reno. i rode for a couple years. was a welded steel frame. nice bike. i sold it after buying the ti bike. i told the guy i would buy it back if he ever wanted to sell. i am still waiting on that call.
