Technaflora Hydro Nutrients for Soil ?

Hey all,
A few years ago I grew a couple using the "bubble jug" technique. I was actually pretty happy with the turnout from it, too. I used Technaflora nutrients for it. Consisting of BC Grow, BC Boost, BC Bloom, Thrive Alive B-1(red and green), and Awesome Blossoms. My main question is, does this stuff have a shelf life ? Nothing on the labels says anything. It's about 4 or 5 years old. Next is the instructions I have are for hydro. I assume you use the same schedule, and amounts for soil. I just want to make sure before using it. Should I wait 'til they get their first 5 blade leaves to start feeding ? They are in small 4" pots now with Miracle Grow bag soil(It's what my mom had laying around. lol), mixed with topsoil from my veggie garden. I also have some Dyna Grow liquid, grow and bloom formulas, if you think that would be better. Thanks a lot !!

As long as it was stored in a cool dark place, it should be fine. The B-1 Green might not be though, since it's organic. The amounts are the same, but your feeding schedule is feed-water-water-feed etc. You'll also want some Sugar Daddy and possibly some Magical if you use R.O. water. I used thier recipe for success kit my first few grows in Happy Frog soil, worked great. The feed chart is on thier website www.technaflora.com I would start feeding when you get your 1st or 2nd set of true leaves. Just start of slow, 1/4 dose and work up. Obviously you have a few grows under your belt and know how monitor feeding. Hope this helps.
Happy Growing.

Thanks man. I have done a few grows. I only had one that I really did the right way though. The others something was always in the way of really doing it right. Health issues, moving, etc. Always seemed to be something. Then 2 of them were outdoor, and I really didn't do anything for them. Just let them grow and threw Miracle Grow on them when I fertilized my vegetable garden. I just want to try to do this one right. I've studied the Marijuana Growers Insiders Guide by Mel Frank, pretty intensely. So I have a pretty good grasp on it. Just need some advice on feeding and things mostly. I will probably need some tips here and there on specific strains. When I get my seeds.
The B-1 green is just for the spray. I doubt I will be able to find that locally. Do you know of a good replacement, or should I just spray with water ?

I never used it as a folier feed, I just mixed in water and soil fed, alternating between the red and green. Not sure what your area is, but Neptunes Harvest seaweed fertilizer, Pennington Alaska liquid kelp fertilizer, or Old Age Organics liquid kelp would all be good alternatives.

Cool. I'll see if I can locate any of those. The instructions it came with(I got the whole set as a complete kit) said to use it as a folier feed. It only had the red in the root feeding instructions. So thats what I always did with it.

Yeah, I read the same thing, but there's really little difference between them. The red is synthetic and the green is organic. On the bottles, both say they can be used as a foliar feed or soil drench. If you can't find what you want locally, is there a reason you can't order online?
