TBoneJack's Sugar Punch SCROG

Strain: Sannie's Sugar Punch (from feminized seeds).

Grow medium: Super soil, completely organic. I'll give the long recipe in a subsequent post, if anybody is interested.

Lighting: T5 for early vegging, Hortilux 400-watt blue for subsequent vegging, Hortilux 600-watt super HPS for flowering.

Flowering pots: 10-gallon Smart Pots

Environment: Temperature and humidity kept within optimal limits.

Grow room: 4 x 4 x 8 closet.

Grow method: SCROG.

The Super Soil mix I use is very hot. The downside is that I have to be careful and cut it with pure Roots Organic soil when plants are young. The upside is that my grows proceed just fine with nothing but tap water. No added supplements, teas, etc. And no ph adjustments. Just plain tap water. But my tap water is very high quality.

Please feel free to ask relevant questions or add relevant comments to this grow journal.

Here's a pic of the plants at about 3.5 weeks. They are awaiting the arrival of bigger pots for transplant.

Update

It's been about 5 weeks since seeds sprouted (I'm bad about not writing things down).

I transplanted them yesterday into 2 gallon pots with a mixture of 40% Super Soil and 60% Roots Organic. Next transplant, they will get 100% Super Soil.

Thanks.

Actually, that's not a CO2 dripper. There's a bug trap (empty except for 2 lady bugs, thank goodness), a temp meter, and a No Pest Strip in there.

Today, they get transplanted into 10-gallon pots with 100% Super Soil, and moved inoto the flowering room to finish vegging (24/0) under a 400-watt Hortilux Blue.

I'll post pics tonight.

Hey TBJ, Have you used the Hortilux Blue MH before? I'm just breaking in one now after using 'freebie' bulbs included with cool tube/ballast.

I have used it before. IMO, they are the best light for vegging. But because of heat issues, I use T5s for most of the vegging cycle. Once they get "tall and bushy", T5s don't have the power to penetrate the canopy. So I switch to a Hortilux 400-watt MH blue for the last 2-3 weeks of vegging.
