Hey guys new to the site but lovin it. I've been reading up obsessively on how to grow mary properly, and have decided I can now do so with my new apartment. I have:

-one Grow Lux flourescent wide spectrum
-two CFL's, one 900 lumen bright light, the other 400 lumen daylight.
-B1 starter
-Whitney Farms potting soil w/ sphagnum moss, perlite, pumice, worm castings, bat guano, poultry waste, bone meal, feather meal, blood meal, sawdust, and kelp meal. This is the shit as far as I know.
-Some organic nute's with 24-8-16 nutes.
-One cheap wallyworld fan.
-thermometer w/ humidity readings
-ph tester
-sanitized pots
-And some aluminum foil because I live cheaply.
-space heater to maintain 70-85 F.

So, after collecting all of my toys I am now waiting on the seeds. I have one crop going out of some shitty bagseed, but the seeds turned out shitty as well and out of five germed seeds, one has survived and is doing great. I think it is due to the lack of essential nutrients my previous soil had.

Once my K2 I ordered from the nirvana shop gets here, as well as the germination kit, I should be having a good crop! Here are some pics for now, more to come as I get the seeds within the next few days.

Any comments/suggestions are greatly appreciated, for this is my first grow.

My CFL's

Ready!

My mini grow op.

One survivor, growing somewhat slowly but now that I have more light she should pick up.

Fan big enough?

Looks like you've come wayyyy more prepared than I. I kind of learn/acquire things as I go. Like my name says, Trial and Error Man! Make sure to use the less shiny side of the foil, as I heard the mirror-like side absorbs more light..even thought tinfoil all together isn't very effective but you can only use whatever means you got right! Good luck!

Ahh see I thought the shinier side would work better, for obvious reasons. Guess not! I'll change that up asap. Or maybe I'll just got buy some mylar or whatever at a party store. Thanks for stoppin into my thread! More opinions the better.

Oh and to be eligible for the journal contest, I should include some details.

a. how much nutrients used- using B1 starter until my sprouts get a bit older.
b. ph of water- an acceptable 7.2, but I leave the water out for 24hrs before I use it due to the high chlorine in the water in my town.
c. medium used- some super sick soil with a lot of goodies in it, see above for details.
d. temperature of room- keepin it between 70-85, but it is hard w/ my crappy space heater.
e. light cycle calendared- 24hrs of light until the veg stage, then a good 18/6 ratio.
f. water schedule (frequency and quantity)- With my sprout now, I put my finger in the soil and if it is dry, then I water. If it is a little moist still, that means that deeper down the soil is way more wet, so it doesn't need water.

Okay cool I think that's all I need for the contest. It'd be sweet to win the prize.

Oh right on man! Thanks I'll go to Wally world tomorrow then and buy two more lamps. I figure the more light the better. I'm so high now. I can't wait for my crop of juicy K2!

Alright I had a bit of an disastre. Woke up this morning and realized I was too high last night to water my little sproutlet, so she is a little saggy. I put in some of my good soil and watered her good, so I'll see.

So stoked for my seeds to get in!
