Taking suggestions for my 3 bucket drip spike system

I have 3 plants growing in 2x2 rockwool grow cubes. Once the roots came through I put them in some bigger cubes and into my 3 bucket drip spike system. I also surrounded the rockwool with lava rocks. The plants have been in the system for about 1 week and I have the water pump running 24/7 right now. I've read alot about rockwool and it's ability to retain water and still have good airflow. I'm just wondering if it's possible to over water rockwool cubes? If so should I get a timer for my water pump and what time should it run on? Thanks.

Hi
You can over water rockwool and if it is constantly wet the oxygen that is available oxygen will be reduced and can turn brown can rot its better do water it and let it get a break to maximize the oxygen. The time between watering depends on many things like temperature, if it dries out quickly increase the watering. Eventually the roots will go through and once in the hydron will make a great root system because of all the available oxygen.
