taking over a seedling

i have a friend who sprouted more than desired and is giving one up. it is a feminized afghani seed.they are in a solo cup and reportedly growing slowly. im not sure how its developed cause i havent seen it personally. any tips on inexpensive noob proof ways of helping it along before transplant. anything that should be avoided out of noobness? ( watering/sunlight exposure nutes. etc)

thanks in advance

ok i've looked at all your past posts (8 of them) looks like you got yourself a ph test kit. probably a api pool kit with the little card that has colors on it and what not with up down and test solution right?.. it will suffice. very accurate and pretty straight forward. next sounds like you are nervous when it comes to watering. so lets cover that first. if you're using tap water fill your jug and let it stand for atleast 24hrs. this evaporates the chemicals in it specifically the chlorine. then ph your water to roughly 6.2-6.8 why? it what i use and it works. dont get complicated just get it close. now onto your soil. for you im going to suggest, just because its your first grow and you ARE gonna learn alot from it. you should use miracle grow potting soil. buy a 1.5 cu ft bag of it and buy the bag of miracle grow perlite. mix the entire bag of perlite into that bag of soil. trust me. now get yourself a 5 gal pot. if you cant get a 5 then get a 3 gal pot. fill it with this mixture. water it heavily. let it stand for atleast 3 days. water it again. let stand for a day then put that seedling in there. if you're gonna put this plant outside skip the pot and dig yourself a hole 2ft wide by 2 ft deep. (2ft square)(2x2x2)? following? instead of putting this mixture of soil and perlite in that pot put it in the ground. then do the watering method. this watering method "cools" the soil down just enough so it dont burn your seedling. trust me here. people are going to say im an idiot when in fact they are. you just have to be an experienced gardener to use miracle grow products. ok now that you have soil and your seedling outside in the hole you are set. water it with your water at the said ph when it gets dry. easiest way to check your soil is just poke your pointer finger in a couple inches if its moist it dont need water if not give it water. the reason i said to use this soil is because you wont need any nutrients till flower time. then give it miracle grow bloom food. with every OTHER watering. if you have any questions feel free to pm me.

edited to add:
when you start the bloom food start it real light like 1/4 strength for the first 2 weeks the go up to 1/2 strength and continue with 1/2 strength. do not go over 1/2 strength.
