I'm a true centrist as I've always been claiming.

I am socially centrist, fiscally conservative, environmentally liberal.

I'm in favor of social programs like welfare, but I also think if you are able bodied, you should get your ass to work.

Conservatism in regards to fiscal policy is rather simple. Spend as little as possible. That includes $5,000 toilet seats for the US Military.

I, unfortunately, conflict politically, because being socially centrist or liberal generally is counterintuitive to fiscal conservatism. My argument is that we can offer good social and environmental programs AND be fiscally conservative, most definitely more conservative than we are today.

If they are available, why not. But the government should not create jobs simply to employ people, there must be a purpose for the position. Remember... fiscal conservatism.

It's hard to be fiscally conservative and provide social programs to satisfy everyone. Some groups of people will likely be "left out", but as long as the more important issues are covered, I'm happy.

However, there is a flaw in my fiscal conservatism, and that is taxes. I believe rich people should be taxed more and corporations should be either heavily regulated or taxed heavily.

Surprisingly it matters quite a bit. Could sway you from being Libertarian to being a Democrat or Green. But unlikely it would sway you from being Libertarian to being Conservative.

good call see, it really did affect my results quite a bit.. i went down about 25 percentage points for the republican party filling that part in, and i'm much happier with the results now as well..
