Take the fan leaves off?

I recently took a few small, weak shoots off of my mother plant but I left all of the fan leaves. Should I take them off or are they doing some good? They don't get much light under there.

I would leave them till the plant gets bigger and if they are blocking light to new growth then I would remove some to allow light, some people will say you shouldn't but I've done it and it doesn't hurt as long as you don't take too many.

only remove them if light is becoming an issue....
else just let them b

i would leave them, maybe fold em under if you want to

leave them untill the plant drops it or it starts to look like its dying, when you give it a small tug, if it comes off, yay, if not leav it, they do more good than people think.
