Tahoe OG Kush Blackstar LED SCROG

I was really debating about if I should top my girls or not. I knew that Topping would give me a better even canopy and new main colas. I knew this would be an ideal situation for my SCROG, but I didn't want the stunted growth that came along with it.. I know that if I topped I would have a tighter node formation during flower, and a better even canopy. So I did it today! I cut under the main node, (not the new baby growth nodes) and I crossed my finger that the girls would come back fiercer than ever and grow even more vigorously.

God i love a good og and sunshine mix grow? I remember the fire og grow u did I think. I think u got some awesome ridiculous weight on that one.

Mongo! Long time no see! Glad to have you back! yes I am rocking the sunshine mix #4 you recommended back in the day still! I have been averaging 3-4 oz per plant using LEDs and just staking. This grow should give me at least a pound of some primo OG! I got my environment dialed in, mix, nutes and genetics. Been over a year experimenting thru trial and error and I think this round will be my best yet! Stay tuned! What have you been up too lately?

4-5 doors every 8-9 weeks I guess seems like enough. I really don't want to quit my job though. They let me get stoned at work.

Doors= plants, pounds?

I would need minimum 50 plants every 8-10 weeks for me to be comfortable! Luckily I only grow for my own consumption and a pound lasts three-four months no problemo

Man I wrote something twice now and RIU keeps failing. Its late and I am tired, but I wanted to try to post these pics for you guys. The topping all worked out great today! The girls made a great recovery already, with the secondary nodes all reaching for the area where I topped. I see new growth already forming! PO genetics is the only way for me to go for now on!

Tick, tick, tick...........I hate this part. But at least they're starting to look like happy little clones. And we know what happens to happy little clones .

Edit: You know while I'm here let me ask you a question if you don't mind Sleezy. What's a good OG for a 10 week run that shows off what's so great about them and isn't a bitch to grow? OG Kush's don't have a very good rep in my part of the world and I wouldn't mind trying to change that. Last time my friend had some "OG Kush", people were giving the shit back, but from what I see around here they all look so amazing. Oh ans seed only please. Thanx.

Sup Fran? What part of the world are you from? I get clones now, because I found a great place with the best OG kush genetics. I have grown OG with bad genetics and wasted three months of my time growing it! So now only the best genetics for me! My favorite OGs to grow that aren't too bad to grow are: tahoe OG, budda tahoe OG, raskals OG, and Larry OG. If you are looking for seeds, I would buy OG seeds from "Cali connection". Swerves tahoe OG came in third place at the cannabis cup in 2011. Just search "Cali connection" on google and you'll find their site. They even have nice feminized seeds! They have all the best strains, so if you can't get OG clones with verified genetics I would go to Cali connection!

Yeah I come from that part of the world were you can't get clones like you can in other states of the US, otherwise it'd be GSC heaven in my tent . And thanks for the tip about CC, I'm on a bit of a MNS kick right now, (Black Widow and Critical Mass), and I've been intrigued by CC's genetics, (Tahoe), but not too intrigued about all the, how shall we say, baggage, so I've never really checked them out. Thanks again!

GSC=Girl Scout Cookies? That is a cross of cherry pie and OG kush right? My nursery has cuttings of those! Too bad I can't send you a raw cut of it!! Im telling you, you wont be disappointed with the Cali Connect genetics! all their genetics look pretty legit!

Sup wicked? Go to www.pogenetics.com they have gsc clones! You have to order them! They are located in San Fernando kinda close to you. They have the tahoe and bunch of awesome genetics! Check em out! Goodluck with that 240! Btw, I did top my ladies yesterday!

Here are some updated pics of the ladies right at lights out. Starting to bush out now after the topping I did a few days ago. No real stunting from topping, guess the Tahoe really loves topping. Hopefully we will be hitting the SCROG screen some time next week for the little ladies first training.

So I finally got my old camera to work and was able to take better pictures with an actual camera! The girls are doing beautifully! They have grown a good amount the last couple days, and are getting closer to the screen! I am glad I topped these ladies, because just like cutting a Hydra's head off, 4 more pop up to take its place! I know this can be boring following this journal until flower time, but we are a couple weeks away folks! Once the roots have really developed, growth explodes! The fireworks are soon to happen!
