we tried that a year or so ago at my buddies. released all co2 and it didn't kill anything. If they can survive under water that can survive with all that co2.
Your ppms weren't high enough then/need a meter to verify........its been used for years to humanely kill animals/pets/etc.

Nothing that breathes can survive it.......lol......they will try to go dormant, but the thirty minutes is too long for them to make it through. Then you do a second treatment for any eggs that hatched and bam infestation over.

your room needs to be somewhat sealed though........remember that normal rates are around 300-400ppms and 10000 is very deadly.

I like the lady bugs method. They eat all kinds of leaf dwelling bugs and soil dwelling bugs and eggs. Just spray a soap or kelp or aloe foliar and their wings will stick. It keeps them around longer. (outdoor trick).

I've heard of the CO2 method. It can work.

But I don't have CO2 yet. It is on my list of things to get. My room is easy sealed with one closure and a back draft stopper to my exhaust. And seeing all the light that I'm getting, the plants would defiantly benefit from raising the point of diminishing returns with co2.

Oils are the second best thing to forbid for broad mites. It suffocates them, so coverage is key. Pure spay green is an oil too(petroleum). The soap is good too. But both of those need multiple treatments. But with broad mites time is of the essence. Since they attack and stunt/kill the the new tips, they can destroy a plant in days. I would like to give them a few more days to fully recover. But If I wasn't so close to flip I would feel better about the time but I don't want to get caught with height restrictions.

I am actually going to replace the inner lenses with the 50's. Either the inner 4 or 8, I'm not sure yet. I'm getting 1000µmols form 39" with only about a 12 more inches to raise my light, and the plants are creeping up on 18". So if they double after stretch, it will be around 1500+µmols. I'm shooting for 1200µmols. The outer edges are great though. There is a big differce between literally the edges of the 4x4(300µmols), and 3.5x.3.5(600µmols)...some of the plants in the 3.5x3.5 zone even have some branches getting 700+µmols. Now that I am not just focused on the testing chart dots, the coverage is better in practice. Doing a little lens work will should keep it at closer to 1200 at 24" and still keep a good strong curtain of light on the out edges.

For comparison here is 2 days ago,

Now Today...

39"

You can see it looks like mag or N starting...that's the broad ties effect on the plants health. They seem to have liked the treatment and are a shade darker today. So time will help push through.

Branching and main shoots are doing great

Here is my little DWC project I transplanted form the 3gal soil
IMG_0375.jpg

Was aclone, but it was mainlined to 4, then they went to 12(3each) and is super bonsai'ed out.
IMG_0377.jpg

I hade to totally cut a hole in the bottom of the net pot to pull the roots through.
IMG_0378.jpg

Some early results with the ESC already. For next 3 pics...Left is control and right is ECS treated at transplant 28 days ago.

IMG_0370.jpg

IMG_0371.jpg

More roots=more fruits. There is roots coming out on all, but the ESC tend to have more, brighter, whiter, and bigger ones showing.

Brother G, have you taken any readings with the wider set in yet? Thought about mixing em similar to how they had the b:w panels' emitters laid out, or every other row and see what happens..

I saw a video up on the AMC sub that had some of the narrow AT's in the commercials at the beginning. Also noticed a fella over on "the farm" that had the T8's.. whether its lively over there or not, it's cool to see the product is getting out and about.

Your ladies seem to be digging that 600's spectrum, what's the difference in lighting from pic 1 and 2?

Difference is just the white balance was set different.

Finally some people taking the leap. The guy with the tubes did good, 70% less wattage and same veg results.

I haven't on the 600 really because there are some many. But when we were at the max yield show we had some 50's in...if you were just looking at one of the 4 panels in it...the middle 2 lens we had the 50's, so 6/24 were 50's. And that was doing 1300ish@24 so perfect basically. But I think that the center 4 or 8 will really even things out real well. The light is still gong to be hitting the canopy so the yield shouldn't be lost...just the intensity slightly...and it has plenty to give.

I'm an expert and hanging and taking it down now. Still is one heavy light though. But I will test my lens thoughts soon.

They seem to love the spectrum. I really think the amount of light, and the better temp is their favorite part. AT realizes being able to shut off the reds would be good for veg, and is on there minds for the future. But they sure don't mind the red as far as I can tell.

Since mine is the prototype it has the 2 power cords instead of 1. So I can run half at a time if I want...use 2 timers and alternate throughout the day and only average 330w for veg...just figured it out last night. I'm not doing it, but cool idea I thought.

When do you use the esc? I have one 2 oz. So I have enough for one use. Girls look sexy.
I have the 2oz too. I used a little more than half and gave a cup to the root zone at transplant to 9 of my girls. It really helped my sick ones early on when they might not have made it.

They are loving life...about to get fun soon.

so should I use it when I transplant party cups into 2 gals or when I transplant 2 gals into 7 gals?

Good question.

My thoughts would be for into the final container. I would give a little more than a cup dose if you can for 7's.

Chaz...what's the recommended way for multi transplanting stages?

I felt like i got better resluts on my 12/12 from seed with the esc when i used it after their last transplant, to bad the results are inconclusive since i fired my plants but it is my opinion after using it that final container is best. Hoping to get a little more conclusive resluts with this next batch of clones

I just talked to darryl and their guy who does all the gardening. They said its fine to use early in flower. Its best to use when starting out with clones and /or first transplant

If you're going to vegging longer than 60 days then reapply it. Plan on a lifespan of 60-90 days. That being said I would recommend applying in the smaller containers before you move up to the larger containers. This keeps the application on the root zone while in the smaller media. My experience in having used this is it creates a perfect environment for beneficial bacteria. Nothing better IMO.

I happened across this channel from Perfect Gardens where they shot an AT video at the last Max Yield show which was held in SF. Nicely done GG!

So far I have contacted Apache Tech with their form on their website - it bounced back. Then I e-mailed them 5 days ago - no response. Then I called them yesterday - straight to voice-mail with no message at all. In this time frame I've exchanged several e-mails with A51, blackdog and CLW.

I love their new light but if a few people on this site who I respect hadn't said they had good customer service I would have moved on. I'm going to assume I'm doing something wrong but if someone has an e-mail other than [email protected] please help me out.

I remember those guys. I have never seen the video till just now. Great find.

I'm doing about 30day veg and then 55-60day flower. So sounds like I'm good. And I have half left if I want to do it at the flip to the same ones again.
Thanks guys - I knew it had to be user error. Where are they based?
Santa Clara, California.
Glad you got the email figure out.

If that doesn't work use [email protected]. That's robert. And if anyone has ever talked to AT, this is probably who. This guy is so smart and knowledgable about growth and light. So if you have questions he can answer them. He's also the one who usually responds to the info email address too.
