depends on what you up to and what you have
for veg T8 in 6500K/cool white light are not a bad choice, for flowering you would have to use 2700K/ warm white or so but those then have not enough punch normally so you would have to use a truckload of them and the would eat more then they give. basically you can say that a single 600W HPS will put out more light/lumen in usable range then about 1000W in T8 with 2700K. also do this T8's cost you more then a 600W HPS if you have to buy them in store.
