Heres a pic of right after I put up net. Will post a pic when lights come on of after I trimmed below the net and they are much larger now also. And also a pic of the clones I kept off blue dream also have some clones from magik going right now.scrog 1.jpg

So excited to see this, I'm planning to run this exact setup next week.

Why do you have a bowl of water near the plants? Get rid of it imho. Don't worry about humidity levels, as long as they look healthy.

How'd you build / where'd you buy the scrog?

I used the bowl of water for 2 days only. Scrog I built with pvc piping and string. drilled screws on top of pvc to attatch string to make the grid. i can take photos of it when lights come on tonight

yeah, I was going to do the same thing but was worried that I wouldn't be able to raise the screen if the plants grew

Are you keeping the scrog that low and just filling it out? I might need to read more scrog 101 basics

I'm keeping it like this, I did not compensate for the growth I got. So this is not a great scrog but it's my first one. Cyco Xl gave me more of a stretch than I am used to. Wasn't really needed for my style of growing probably will not be using it in the future.

Fully lollipopped now. Started clearing fan leaves on top of net to get more light on shorter tops. I only have about 20 inches of penetration with the t5s so have to compensate.

Ahhh, the age old argument, to defoliate or not....
Just from my prospective, how does a battery bank store power in the sun light if it has few or no solar panels? Intense light (on a plant) causes more chlorophyll to be produced, and thus more food for the plant. Chlorophyll build up is not exactly what you want your buds focused on; especially if you are wanting prime product! Maybe just push and tuck those leaves back under the SCROG. That's just MHO....

I can see your point thanks for your input :) With my hps grows I never trimmed anything and tucked leaves instead. But since the switch to t5 lights I have noticed drastic changes in yield when I actually trim leaves. So I have continued to trim ever since. I do appreciate your input though! I could be delusional lmao anything is possible?

Another piece of information on the subject. I have never done a side by side with same clone, one defoliated and one not either. and their were other variables at play with my grows nutes temp etc. So I in no way know for sure. :)

Get two birds, rip or cut half of the feathers off of one and not the other. Go to the top of a building and throw them up into the air....
Which do you think will fly further?
And if one is a genetic clone of the other do you think it will matter?
Well I suppose you said it best anything is possible!

have you ever ran a scrog with a T5? what wattage and lumen?

A panel of 12 bulbs at SUPPOSEDLY ~6000 lumens a piece ( about 50 watts each) gave me almost a full lb in a scrog... I have no pictures so I can't prove it, but with Good focus and proper technique anything is possible.... Right?

Yeah anything is possible. I dont get into the yield wars really. Just a fun hobby for me and I just try different things to enhance my grows. Other than that their is ALWAYS going to be someone out producing me and getting better harvest. I'm very happy with my yields It keeps my wife and I stocked up :D. and thats what matters to me :D
