T5 Lighting

I am using a t5 set up on two unknows i recently purchased two 6500k and two 2700k bulbs seeing as it is a four bulb setup. they have been growing 1 -2 inches everyday. i keep the lights two inches from the top and my results are pretty good so far. i am three days into flower and wondering if anyone has had any luck with the t5 for flowering?

Dude you need a ups or mh light for respectable buds cfls just do not have the power you will get buds but they will be small if you. Can put them outside the sun is the best

I have seen plenty people flower with CFL's. Just keep the lights close and make sure you have lots of light around the whole plant. I have seen people get a half o dried per plant under CFLs grown in solo cups.

word its not really rink a dink either its a tek light t5 and i have two strip light t5 they are really close. the tek is hanging about two inches from the tops and the strip lights are inside the canopy.

I get 2-3 dry oz per plant using two of the 2 ft. New Wave HO T5's in a 3 x 3 area with 8 of the 3000k bulbs. Yes, you can get some very decent buds flowering with HO T5's. I've been using them for over a year now and have flowered 20 plants overall with them and am very satisfied. I've posted pics before of the grows.

Good luck. You can flower with them. Less heat and less power usage than the hps also. But the hps will grow more and denser buds overall and not just the tops and and sides under the HO T5's.

I will try to get pics of my T5 grows uploaded tonight.

The HO T5's with mixed spectrum bulbs is the way to go though. My results are better with 4 of the 6400k and 4 of the 3000k bulbs rather than all 3000k. I have two of the New Wave 2-ft. with 23 watts per bulb.
