T-5 HO 8x54W 5000k; Is it good enough to veg with?

So the place I work at is closing down and they were just giving this stuff away to employees. I decided to grab a 4-foot T-5 HO light fixture. It has 8x 54W Westinghouse 5000k bulbs, four which are brand new. I tried to look these up on the web and this is what I found:

5000k kelvin temp
~ 5000 lumen output per bulb

So were talking 432W and around 40,000 lumens at 5000k. Wow. Will this unit work for the vegging state? Also, how much better would 6500k bulbs be compared to these 5000k's? Drastic growth difference?

These would be fine for veg. They are between Neutral (4000k) & Cool (6000k).

I do not think your growth would be much of a change with 6500k.

Thanks guys. I've added them onto my 400W HPS to give the plants some good side lighting and it seems to do a great job so far. Plants are still vegging for another week or two so hopefully this added light will help out a bit!
