Well here is the final update for the Bubba Kush...

I ended up switching her to a 400 watt HPS for the final week...don't know if it made that much of a difference in the size of the buds but I know it did increase the crystal production by a lot.

there's alot of debate here, and obviously the CFL thumpers are going to praise what they have even though their weed is whispy and mediocre. CFLs are fine for veg, but they produce weed that isnt NEARLY as good as HID.

yep! ive been growing shrooms for about 4 years. i started while i was in high school, its so easy that i never stopped. i took my avatar pic about 3 weeks ago, right before i switched from 1000watt MH to 1000watt HPS.

The flowering process began on October 20 so it went 9+ weeks (8 of those weeks were under t-5's and 1 was under an 400 watt HPS).

I completely back t-5's I think that they a viable alternative to HPS lights with minimal heat. I do have to say the the HPS did noticeably increase the crystals while it was under the HPS for the last week.

Yah I am so happy that the grow finished right around new years! Now I can smoke amazing stuff for free!

im makin a journal for my current grow right now, im 16 days in so ill post a thread w/ colorful lights all over my 5 foot trees on xmas haha. i dont use kits to make shrooms though, i do it all myself. i even made my own glovebox area to work in, plus the incubator and everything else is home made. its really easy, i can link you to a site and a specific tech to make some dank shroomies for under $50. they dont mess up your body healthwise, its not a poison or anything like that - but its best to do it monthly or so. just like acid, you can wig out if you're unstable or have issues - but i always have awesome spiritual trips where i write about perception/consciousness and i observe nature in its most beautiful form. it doesnt take longer than a day to prepare everything and inoculate (inject spores) the jars. after that, you just incubate for about 2 weeks til the jars are covered in mycelium. then about another week for them to produce giant shrooms. id recommend it to any herb grower, its really fun and rewarding.

Thats the thing about t5s though you dont need the whole spectrum of light you just need 2 red and blue. HPS and MH!! I grow with both and personally the t5s do the job but....... The HPS and MH show way more results then a T5. When you grow with T5 you dont get all the lumen it says you do because they are comming from different spectrums. So some of the lumens are lost due to plant rejection. Mostly Green and Yellow. So that is wasted light. And plus the T5's he has arent cheap those are high yield by the looks of it and those aint cheap. For the price of 4 good T5s i can go back to high yield and buy a 400 watt conversion with air cooled light or a 600watt HPS for about the same price! and that will yield more results then t5s. And as of last year anyways you now only need a HPS bulb for both Grow and Bloom because the new HPS have 33% MH in them so it also buts out the Blue band.
