Switching To Organic Nutes

Hello. I think I know the answer to this, but I would appreciate it if someone could confirm. I'll be growing my plants during veg using some General Hydroponics nutes. I'm guessing that they are chemical-based. I'd like to know if I could switch to Advanced Nutrients 100% Organic when flowering begins without boning my plants. Is this a dumb idea, or is it actually possible?

Sure, that's possible. You're correct about the GH stuff, it's chem salt stuff. And you can switch to organic based nutes whenever you like. Just keep in mind that you can't exactly call it "organic" if you used non-organic nutrients at some point.

i heard that organic nutes arent good for plants that will have a life cycle of less that 3 months. The plants dont have the time needed to properly break down the organic matter.

Actually, plants can't break down organic matter. There's microbes in the soil that does that. If you're just putting compost in the soil then yeah, it takes awhile to pay off because the microbial population may not be big enough.

But if your organic nutrients are already broken down, it doesn't matter.

In the case of quality hydroponics nutrients it should be pre-processed or else it's just going to stink a lot and clog your system up.
