Before I started using AN products, I did a ton of research. Time and time again, what I found was that the folks that insisted on constantly checking their pH had more problems than the folks that just let it do its thing. If your tap water is around 7 or so, you should be good to go.

I know it sounds too good to be true but there are plenty of people out there (myself included) that have no longer have a use for pH pens and all the crap those goes with them. Get a grow journal going, tag me and I'll tag along and give you any support that I can.

Cool. I've just started my first attempt at a sterile set up. I've been using AN bennies but looking to simplify ..and save a few bucks.

Yeah this is my first dwc iv grown soil and coco. I honestly didn't think dwc would be as easy as it has been so I went for the cheapest set up as possible in case I failed miserably lol

I'm also on my first DWC (and my first grow in over 20 years) and I'm absolutely amazed at how easy it's been. Using AN has made all the difference. Just set it and forget it.

I also use AN PH Perfect line. Don’t be fooled by the name - It’s still important to keep an eye on your PH

I start with a PH of 5.0 and then add nutes...

Day 1 - PH doesn’t change.

After 2 days - the PH goes up to 5.5

After 2 more days - the PH goes up to 5.8

After 2 more days the PH goes up to 6.5

That’s when I’ll start over - I’ll add more dechlorinated water (around 7 PH), lower the PH to 5.0 and add more nutes to bring up my PPM and leave it that way for another week.

The PH stays in the desired range, but there is definitely a lot of creep going on

I felt it was over priced for something that doesn't even do what it claims (perfect pH).

I don't think ph perfect works in a sterile grow. It has some organics in it. I tried and failed 3 grows to get it working. Switched to dry salts. I suggest you do the same.
