SweetLeaf's 240W Blackstar LED Autoflower Grow

Ya its a very enclosed space.. as far as the LED I am running the 240w Blackstar and am extremely happy with it thus far. I can't wait to see how it works out in the flowering period. I don't need a heater, the LED does the job of keeping the cab warm. I imagine that if my space was bigger that it would be much cooler and I would have to use a heater but for the small cab it stays perfect.

Here is some bud porn from under the 240 Blackstar, bud porn usually helps a thread out too. This is a picture of The Cheese at 64 days of 12/12 grown under a Blackstar 240. It should pack on some weight in the next 2-3 weeks, and give me a decent harvest. I'm really only hoping for 2 oz per plant but we will see. I've also got a Super Silver under the light too. I know that the Blackstar has made me a fan of led's, now I'm thinking about adding another 240 in there and I think that would be bad ass.

I ultimately wanted to get a 3x2 or 4x2 tent and run 2 240's. I'd settle for just the tent now and run the 240 and the 150 hps. The 2 of them are quite overkill for my tiny cab

Have you been 12/12 from seed and have you grown this before under the blackstar?

Very little. I think my cab was like 3 or 4 degrees over ambient with a 50 cfm bathroom fan for exhaust. This time of year was actually too cold, my temps were stuck at 71 for a few days then I had the bright idea to put my 150 hps in there with it, now im around 80

Kind of what I figured but saw a couple people complaining they were too hot for their cabinets, granted they hadn't commented on the size.

I vegged this plant for about 5 weeks from seed. I topped it a few times and did LST also. This is my first time growing this strain. It is doing better than cfl's.

Looks real good , thanks for posting that up. Ya I'm not sure what to expect from these two but I am hoping for 1.5 per plant but I have a feeling that I will be shy of that. The older himalaya is giving me some problems and the newer growth at the top has developed the same problem that started at the bottom. Burnt looking fan leaves that are curled down. Fed them some water last night with epsom salts, hopefully this takes care of the problem. This plant has me worried. The other one is getting big, very compact growth, and looks extremely healthy. I don't think it could look any healthier than it does. Pics to come when the lights go back on in a few hours. Thanks for the interest in the thread everybody!

Well this sucks, looks like we lost 6 or so pages. Anyways the plants are doing pretty good, heres some pics from thursday. They have bulked up quite a bit since then. Going to water again tonight when the lights go back on, new pics tomorrow. The one is in week 7 and the other bushier, larger one is about 10 days behind. I think I will get a lot more out of the younger one, it has been much healthier the whole grow and seems like a bigger plant as well. March 22nd will be the end of week 8 since sprouting for the smaller one but I think I will wait a couple more weeks in hopes that it will pack on more weight and it doesn't look anywhere near ready.

Here is a little update from today, humidity and heat was very high over the weekend. I was out of town and the cab was closed the whole time which contributed to this and it was also warmer outside than it has been since the grow started. Temps have been lowered since I have been back. I watered them today with a dose of Botanicare Cal Mag. I think I am just going to give the smaller one just water from now on and start the flushing process. I am interested in hearing from anyone that has used molasses in the last couple of weeks if it works or is worth it. Thursday will be the end of week 8 for this plant and I am thinking 2 more weeks. I am hoping it packs on more weight in the final 2 weeks because the buds aren't as big as I hoped they would be, but I know it has been through a lot of stress. What are the guesses on how much I will yield from the one on the left? One on the right is in the beginning of week 6.

Plants are doing alright, don't seem to be swelling that much. Hairs are slowly turning amber/brown. Tomorrow is end of week 8 for the smaller one. I'm going to let it go 1-2 more weeks in hopes that it will swell up and add more weight to make this grow worthwhile. I think I will definitely get alot more out of the younger bushier plant. The plan this grow was to do only one plant which would have worked out much better because the cab is so jam packed and some of the tops aren't even getting light, I try to rotate as much as possible. I had a trouble with the older one germinating so I started germing the second and of course the first one sprouted after the other seed had been in a wet towel for 2 days. If I do this again with this set up it will be 1 plant. Still have 3 more HBD seeds I can use and a Dinafem Critical + Auto (not feminized). I have all the nutes I need and would like to get a healthy grow out of this blackstar LED to really see what the light is capable of producing. One thing I need to pick up is a pH meter for the next grow. I have been using the general hydroponics pH control kit just using the vial with the pH test indicator in the vial which makes it extremely hard to get a good reading ( this could have been the cause of several problems this grow) . Anyways I hope its not a total waste, hopefully I will get some decent buds out of this round.

Haha well at least I know one person is watching... I actually was checking out your new thread a couple of hours ago. Heres some pics that I decided to post because I know I have 1 person paying attention to my grow . Looks like the larger plant should give me a pretty decent yield, but I'm not sure.

Thanks for stopping in!! Good luck with your grow w/blackstar.

The heat lately has really helped to dry out my pots, I have been able to water much more frequently. I actually checked them today and they were extremely dry so i watered. The one was given straight water. The other plant was given (per gal) 15ML Buddha Bloom, 15 ML Earth Juice Catalyst, 5 ML Hum-Bolt, 15 ML HP2, and 10 ML HPK. The other plant that was given straight water got a little run off from the other plant that was given nutes, I hope this isn't a problem and I will be more careful next time. Does anyone know if organic nutes affect taste and quality like synthetics do, is the flush process as necessary? Today is the start of week 9 for the older one, I'm probably going to let it go a week and see if I notice it packing on more weight and if I don't see that happening I am going to chop it to give the other one more room.
