Suspended for resin on a lighter

I pack such big bowls when I ignite them they puff up and i use the bottom of the lighter to push it back into the bowl. There was some like ashy resin compressed up under my disposable bic lighter today, when a school administrator searched me because i looked "suspicious". I tried to talk my way out of it but this fucking prick was just determined to get in my pockets. They scraped the resin of the bottom of my lighter and got 1/16th of a gram of "hashish". Yes they called it hash. So now I am suspended for the rest of the semister, so i will be transfering to a diff. school a little bit farther away until i can come back. This fucking sucks...
I am lucky that there was no law enforcement envolved.

dude that fuckin sucks, are they allowed to ssearch you just cause you look "suspicious?" that sounds really weird

thats fucking stupid!! Why were you 'suspicious"? And you should bring them a report on how that isnt hashish.

more or less. a friend of mine got searched one time because he shook someone's hand and the vice principal or something saw it and thought it was a drug deal. it's all profiling because my friend looks like the kind of person that would smoke and all to the school administrator's eyes and such...it's really rediculous.

its still the united states of america
they cant search u with out probable cause
unless its written somewhere that
"if u are on campus you are subject to a search at any time"
but i doubt it does

Dont be surprised if the cops come knocking ,,I'd hide everythingI had and sit and wait... its the schools responsability to notify police

It goes on a case by case, state by state basis, I think...lockers can be searched...but purses, pockets, etc, are the student's PERSONAL property...and permission must be given.Now, if you're under 18, you shouldn't be here, but I don't think you can legally give permission for personal searches,because you're a minor.But you never have to consent to any personal search.If you are of the age of majority, and you consented, you may have fucked yourself...but if there was no consent, sue, oh fucking sue.

In most college dorms you have zero rights it is in the housing contracts that they can search randomly at any time. I'm assuming it's something similar on campus. But to the OP...dude why did you not just run? If law enforcement wasn't involved and you weren't trapped in a room why couldn't you laugh at them and run away? Better to get in trouble/asked a lot of questions than to be caught with weed, they can't kick you out for suspiciously running away from an administrator.. but then hindsight is always 20/20 isn't it..

however the dorm room is the property of the college
of course they can search that
his pockets
are in his pants
which he owns
and the college has nothing to do with
and has no right to touch so in order to search that
they would need probable cause...:blsmoke:

Which is exaclty why i'm not going to live on campus. either i'm gunna live with a bud of mine, or with my parents till i'm done with school...

I fully understand my rights. I graduated 6 years ago, but I do remember having to sign the student handbook every year, there would be a whole day put aside for the teachers to read the entire thing to the students and then the students had to sign it. All I'm saying is that on campus you have less rights then you would think.
