I stumbled upon this youtube video about a year ago, watched it a few times since. Another great video from Vice, I figured I would share it with you guys. If some one already posted this one, sorry.

Just take about an hour away from worrying about what Justin Bieber did this week and watch this video. The man has a lot of knowledge and I envy his way of life.

I am not sure if I could survive without civilization. As much as I would like to, I have grown accustomed to the things society provides for me.

Even the man in the video I posted was not totally broke away from society. He trades for gear, supplies, and ammunition to survive out there. If he was to truly survive alone, his tools would wither and he would have to fashion new ones. He would run out of bullets and have to use sticks. His boots would tear and he would have to mend them.

He does show how some one can survive without raping the resources of the land by being nomadic. Its sad the government stops the people from living off the land. Its like they want to make it impossible for us to survive without having to spend large sums of money just to maintain.

was just wondering how the government stops anyone from living off of the land?? as far as i know, anyone can go buy a property out in the middle of nowhere and build a house, cabin, lean to, wig wam or any other like structure, and live off of the grid all they want..
am i mising something here?
